Leeds line up v Huddersfield

31/1/2015

Although unconfirmed officially, am told the Leeds team for today is the same as last time out against Bournmouth-apart from new signing Sol Bamba coming in to replace the suspended Bellusci.

That would mean Silvestri, Wooton, Bamba, Cooper, C Taylor, Cook, Austin, Mowatt, Murphy, Byram, Morisson.

No news on subs yet, but official announcement about an hour away...

Captain on way out

28/1/2015

Leeds captain Jason Pearce looks set to sign for Wigan. Pearce has found it hard to get a abe in the back four in recent weeks, and the arrival of Sol Bamba will push him further down the pecking order.

Pearce has been a good servant for Leeds. His commitment to the cause cannot be faulted-he has thought nothing of the putting his body on the line for the cause, and wears his heart on his sleeve. The emergence of Cooper though has meant his game time is limited, with Leeds going for more of a passing style than the old fashioned centre half.

If a deal can be agreed, he will be another captain leaving, following McCormack and Warnock (former captain Rudy Austin is also a target for Cardiff, but a good chance he will stay).

Expect movement either way within the next 24 hours.

Another signing confirmed

26/1/2015

Leeds have confirmed another loan signing today with the capture of Granddi N'goyi. The defensive midfielder has signed until the end of the season from Palermo.

As reported last week, the deal has been on the cards for a while, but the paperwork is now complete. He could go straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Huddersfield.

Leeds sign target-other to follow?

23/1/2015

Leedsshave confirmed the loan signing of Palermo's centre back Sol Bamba on loan until the end of the season. The Italian club have said its with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

His Palermo teammate Granddi Ngoyi, a defensive midfielder, is likely to join him at Leeds in the next few days.

Bamba trained with the club this morning and will be available for next Saturday's trip to Huddersfield. With Bellusci suspended, he may well step straight into the team for the Yorkshire derby.

Leeds poised to sign two

22/1/2015

Leeds are poised to sign two players on loan from Italian club (surprise surprise) Palermo.Long term target Sol Bamba, a centre back, and defensive midfielder Granddi Ngoyi are said to be ready to put pen to paper. Both likely to go through before the weekend-could be as soon as today..
