The Italian defender has had the charge hanging over him for months, with ah earing yesterday. Bellusci has been cleared and will not face further action. Leeds are likely to field an unchanged starting 11 for Saturday's clash with Brentford. Neil Redfearn can pick from relative strength-apart from the long term injured Aidy White, the only real other absentee is the suspended Bellusci. New man Cani is likely to be on the bench, although last weeks match winner Billy Sharp is pushing for a start. Redfearn may decide to tweak the formation a bit with it been a home game-Alex Mowatt would be likely to make way of Leeds go for a more traditional 4-4-2. Despite a fairly quite transfer deadline day, Leeds can be relatively happy with with their work, not only on the day, but throughout the window. Think back to the chaos of last January's final day, and rememberl Mcdermott out then in, with Cellino chased around Elland road by irate fans. This year, we lost two fringe players in Tonge and Norris (less fringe, more long forgotten), and brought in a big target man in Cani. Prior to that we've offloaded two more squad players in Hunt and Pearce alongside high earner Warnock-with Bamba and N'Goyi adding a bit of muscles a height to the squad. On top of that, all the young players were kept, as well as the in demand Rodolph Austin. Personally would have liked a left winger in (just so you kids can see what one looks like), but you've got to be happy with the look of the squad-not a bad day at the office-following on from an upturn in form. Can almost start looking forward with a touch of optimism....can't we???? Leeds have terminated the contract of midfielder David Norris. The former Ipswich midfielder has struggled to get anywhere near the match day squad over the last couple of years-making only 1 appearance in each of the last 2 sessions. With his contract up in the summer, Leeds have decided to pay him off and let him go. Good move this one-Norris was never going to get a game, and this should save a bit of money... |
