One change for Leeds, the injured Cooper replaced by Bambi. On the bench, Carayol is ruled out with an injury, and the lesser spotted Botaka comes in.

Time to go Massimo

15/2/2016

Tonight sees Leeds host Middlesbrough in front of the sky cameras, but, not for the first time, the action of the pitch may well be more exciting than the action on it.

The pressure is mounting on owner and self proclaimed 'President' Massimo Cellino, with more protests planned.

It's an issue that continues do divide fans, but it does seem that more and more people have had enough of the Italians antics. The pole we ran on our Twitter account had 85% wanting him to go.

So what are the issues? What is causing such a huge divide? Everyone sees it differently, but for me there's been some good, but an awful lot of bad.

I'll start with the positives-he's come in and got the club on a better financial footing. He's spent some decent money over the last year, and clearly wants to make a success of the club-unlike some of our other recent owners.

However, the negatives, far outweigh these good moments. My biggest bug bear has always been his basic lack of respect. His treatment of McDermott and Redfearn especially was disgusting. Caking Redfearn a 'baby' in the press, not getting in touch with them to dismiss them, his sacking of assistants and other key staff etc. His appointment and subsequent dismissals of hockaday, Milanic and Rosler were equally crass.

He then has had a clear lack of respect for certain players-Austin and Byram were both ridiculed in interviews, and both went on to leave the club.

He then has had a huge lack of respect for the most important people-the fans. Promises to buy back the ground, then not doing, promises to get us promoted within 2 years, the infamous pie tax (and his claim that it was imposed as fans sang negatively about him-since passed off as a joke), his lack of activity in the last transfer window and his seemingly never ending court cases..

The man just doesn't seem to get it.

The obvious problem is that, unlike managers and players, he can't just be offloaded-there needs to be a willing buyer. For years, we've been crying out to the money men of Leeds to come to our rescue-Parkin has long been mentioned, but it never seems to come to anything. Local consortiums, rich sheiks, red bull (God forbid), Americans and Chinese groups have all been mentioned, but never seem to amount to anything.

We desperately need someone to come in and take this fantastic football club forward. It's steeped in history, has an amazing fanbase, and is absolutely packed with potential. Cellino isn't the man to take us forward-will someone help is please step forward..

Tonight, I believe, will be a turning point. I think Cellino, and the watching television audience will get the message that an ever growing number of people have had enough and want a change... We just have to hope that someone who can offer that change is out there and willing to take a chance..

Cellino poster removed

12/2/2016

Just as quickly as the the 'Time to go Massimo' poster appeared yesterday, outside the main entrance, today has seen its equally quick removal.

It is thought that 'City Ads Yorkshire' took the decision to take it down following threats of legal action from Lufc.

It is another ridiculous own goal from the club (the Chairman). Surely he doesn't thrink that this will be the end of it, and the fans will stop with protests-in fact, it appears to have the opposite effect, as supporters join together as they see his unease. Purple balloons being released on Mondays Sky match is one idea that looks to be happening, whilst further banners, stickers and posters are being planned.

With the TV cameras there for the visit of Middlesbrough, expect to hear and see plenty of the fans views..

Pressure building on Cellino

11/2/2016

Following a shockingly poor transfer window, a poor string of results, and the seemingly continued lack of direction, the pressure is been turned up on owner (El Presidente), Massimo Cellino.

Today saw a 'Cellino time to go' poster appear right outside the main entrance, as a growing number of fans are saying enough is enough.

Cellino's recent interview regarding the infamous 'pie tax' where he said it was done to get back at supporters criticising him (later claimed as a joke), seems to have pushed more people over the edge.

Assistant manager Paul Raynor said in today's press conference that is was only a minority wanting Cellino out-however, I think he is well wide of the mark on that as there seem to be less and less on the chairmans side.

With rumours constantly around the club, it does appear that cellino wants out-but is struggling to sell. Talk of him buying out GFH and then selling to Parkin are the latest speculation, but something needs to give, and quick.
