News that the appeal hearing in London has finished, only served yet more frustration in beleaguered Leeds United fans as it was confirmed the QC, Tim Kerr has reserved jugdement, a fancy way if saying he wants time to make a decision.
As frustrating as it is, it was to be expected. If the appeal is successful, it makes a mockery of Football League rules and could impact in previous decisions, guidance or advice the football league have given to other individuals wanting to buy football clubs in the past. Let alone actions that might be taken by other groups wanting to purchase the club.
If the appeal is rejected, expect further action by Massimo Cellino. With £millions invested, the Italian would persue any avenue possible to recover his money, especially if Leeds enter admin as many fear. Whilst the decision may stand, that doesn't mean further legal action won't follow.
The QC will be considering all of the option, implications and possible further action before a announcing the result, which could take hours, days or even weeks!
All we can do is sit and wait - but as Leeds fans, we're used to that!
