Redfearn press conference

12/3/2015

Leeds boss Neil Redfearn held his weekly press conference today ahead of Saturday's match with Nottingham Forest. Here's the main points from it...

Sam Byram is still struggling and a late decision will have to be made-Rodolph Austin is back running whilst Liam Cooper will be available.

Players looking good in training, and confident after recent results.

Redfearn keen to keep momentum going this season to take into next. Says Forest have turned a corner but wants us to keep the good run going.

He spoke highly of Billy Sharpe-his work rate as well as goals.

Pleased with Beradi-did well at Wigan and a model professional

Looking for to a big attendance on Saturday which shows how big the club is.

Finally, says what a privilege it is to be head coach of the club and is doing what is best for the club to climb the table.

Cellino statement-what does it actually mean?

5/3/2015

Leeds have announced that Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has had his ban extended to 3rd May from 10th April.

So what does it actually mean-the quick answer is pretty much nothing. The charge relates to information Leeds were supposed to have supplied the league regarding Cellino's tax case (for which he was banned until 10 April). The info from the club was not delivered in time, hence the charge.

However, Cellino has already stated that he won't be back anyway in April, when the ban was due to end, as he wants to fight that charge independently (in theory, so not to risk any sanctions). Therefore, the ban effectively means nothing-the positive is that there are no sanctions against the club..

Cellino's battles with the Football League will continue to run, with more charges awaiting Massimo in Italy-this one though has, for once, worked out well for the club..
