Leeds make positive moves-you read that right!

20/6/2016

Leeds have started off the week with a very positive move, appointing Ben Mansford as the new CEO. Mansford has held that position at Barnsley and is well respected-his move to Leeds is a definite step in the right direction.
This is likely to be followed shortly by the announcement of Marcus Antonsson, who is expected to sign later today or tomorrow. The Swedish striker is currently at Kalmar FF where he has scored 22 goals in 44 appearances. The fee is said to be around £1.5 million for the 25 year old who has 10 in 12 games this season.
Leeds are also still keen on Manchester Urltd youngster Ashley Fletcher as they are keen to make a push for a top 6 spot.
I'm not a fan of Cellino at all, but credit where it's due-appointing a decent CEO is exactly what he should be doing, and we should be talking about the football side of the club-not the circus off the field..

Leeds linked with Premiership midfielder

13/6/2016

Leeds are said to be interested in Sunderlands Serdish midfielder Sebastian Larsson. The 31 year old midfielder struggled to get into Sam Allardyce's team last season following an injury, and Leeds are rumoured to be looking at a deal.
Larsson is a fantastic set piece taker, and has played most of his football in the top flight. After starting at Arsenal where he was limited to 3 appearances, he dropped to the championship with Birmingham and helped them to promotion, he suffered relegation with the Blues before winning promotion again. He had a further 2 years there before joining Sunderland on a free transfer in 2011.
He has also won an impressive 82 caps for Sweden, scoring 6 goals.

Charlie Taylor

7/6/2016

Reports are surfacing this morning that Leeds left back Charlie Taylor is in talks with both Stoke and Liverpool about a potential move. The defender, who pretty much cleaned up the various Leeds player of the year awards, has one year left on his contract, and rumour has it that Leeds are looking to cash in. However, the Yorkshrire Posts Phil Hay has stated that there have been no offers made or accepted for Taylor, so for now, it is just talk-however, it looks to be following a similar pattern to Sam Byram who left in the January transfer window as his contract ran down. Taylor is one of two young players who's deal runs out at the end of next season, the other been Lewis Cook-both players are absolutely vital if Leeds are to have any hope of challenging for the play offs.. A new deal for these 2 players is more important than any new transfers coming in...

Leeds eye Man Utd starlet

6/6/2016

leeds are interested in Man Utd youngster Ashely Fletcher. The striker is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of this month, but would still command a fee due to his age. Born in Keighley, Fletcher joined Man Utd from Bolton at the tender age of 13, but has not appeared for the first team-he dos, however, keep England striker Matcus Rashord out of their youth team, so clearly has talent.
He spent last season on loan at Barnsley-one of a number of clubs who are also keen to sign him. He scored 9 goals in all competitions for the Tykes from 27 appearances.

Monk finalising back room team

6/6/2016

New Leeds boss Garry Monk is expected to finalise his bac room team this week. First through the door is expected to be his former Swansea assistant Pep Clotet. The spaniard is highly rated and previously been linked with the number 1 role at Brentford and Nottingham Forest. Although only an amateur player, the 37 year old has an impressive coaching cv.
Also linked, through the Swansea connection, are Kristian O'Leary, a former Swansea player, and ex England striker, James Beattie. Monk will also have several other back room
roles to fill, notably goal keeping coach.. More details are expected to be announced this week...
