Now, Leeds have been linked with all sorts over the last few years, but something feels different about this one. Some of the sources are respected journalists, such as the BBC's Dan Roan. No mention yet of whether this is a complete takeover attempt or investment, but there is definitely something afoot..
The rumours of a Leeds takeover are gathering pace, with Italian Andrea Radrizzani at the heart of pretty much all links. The Chinese tech firm, Boafeng are the company that appear to be in talks, Radrizzani (twice recently pictured in the directors box with Cellino) recently became Chairman of one of their subsidiary's, Boafeng Sports.

No mention yet of whether this is a complete takeover attempt or investment, but there is definitely something afoot.. Double-tap to edit.lLeeds have today been linked with another takeover / investment, this time via the Italian Andrea Radrizzani.
The BBC's sports editor, Dan Roan is reporting that Leeds are talking to Businessman & MP & Silva founder Radrizzani in talks to buy major stake in the club, according to sources. The YEPs Phil Hay has been in touch with the Italian who has said that there is nothing concrete at the moment and only a simple conversation has taken place to understand the club better.. Definitely something in this one... Well-how many minutes did it take to destroy our optimism? 3, maybe 4? Wasn't good was it?
New season brought new hope, yes, we'd lost Cook, a none stop bundle of energy in the midfield, but we'd also lost a lot of the apparent troublesome Italians-Bellusci, Antonucci and Bianchi had all left, Silvestre replaced in goal. Some good, promising players brought in, Bartely and Grimes from Swansea, the exciting Roofe, The attacking flair of Antonnsen and Sako, and the silky skills of Hernadez, and a dynamic young manager... Could THIS be the season? Fast forward 90 minutes, and, based on that performance alone-no chance.. We were awful-absolutely shocking. Take nothing away from QPR, who were far better. Our best chance was when the Rangers defender should have been sent off for the clearest second yellow card I've seen, but relying on a red card is grasping at straws. It was the first game though, and this new young side will take time to gel. It's a new manager, and his ideas will take time too. On a positive note, the 3 subs did well-Coyle arguably our best player, Sako and Antonsen had energy and movement. In midfield, Ronaldo Viera showed some good passes and there's certainly more to come from him. Best to write this one off-poor day, but Monk and the players know what's what now. Massive improvement needed for Wednesday's cup game at Fleetwood, and I'd expect to see several changes ahead of that one. |
