Brian McDermott press conference

31/3/2014

Leeds boss Brian McDermott held his press conference ahead of tomorrow's game with Charlton, but as usual, there was very little talk of the match.

All questions were around Leeds owner in waiting (apart from the odd fraud charge), Massimo Cellino, and the continued battle to takeover the club.

He said of the taped conversation last night (see other news stories if you've missed it), that if you have a private conversation, then it's private, and shouldn't go out..

He said as a club we need togetherness and the phone call was private.

He went on 'If Cellino does takeover the club, he'll have a decision to make (about the manager), but must be together. He says he has the support of the dressing room, no issues there.

On administration, McDermott is confident it won't happen-he's heard nothing to indicate it will..

Spot on again BMc.
The phone call issue only adds more unrest and seperation at a time when we need to be united and wait for the issues outside our control to be resolved,
What BMc can do is start with the 11 than started the second half, rest those players clearly carrying knocks and do his best to motivate the players to give the fans something to cheer about. All we can do is support as vocally as possible tomorrow regardless of ownership issues.

I,m sorry Robflit but your call for support of this team is misguided and wrong.I,m not questioning your dedication as a Leeds fan,but while you turn up and give money to these leeches they will always be there. This is precisely what they exist off. Supporters like yourself who will pay no matter what is given to them are keeping the Bates and GFHs of this world alive. This current team are an insult to the shirts they wear, and it,s not because they lose it,s because they don,t care and thats criminal.

We are going to stay with you forever, at least until the world stops going round. Not turning up and supporting the team no matter how bad they are is not an option in my world. Two wrongs dont make a right

If people weren't sure if the conversation was Cellino or not, they are now,B Mac obviously thinks it was him, don't forget he has spoken to him a few times, and knows his voice!

This buffoon of a manager should be railing the troops.Never mind whats going on outside the club(self preservation or what}.Get some sort of order and lets see this team atleast fight for the cause.

ever so slightly missed the point there jonny, BMD is getting quizzed over it every time he does an interview or press conference, he's not just going on about it for the good of his health, blame the spineless little fuckers at GFH and David Haigh for not being man enough to face the press themselves and leaving BMD to answer all the questions, ever since their credibility has been called into question they have hidden away out of the line of fire and BMD has had to deal with it all, they are using him as a scapegoat, simple
