Cellino - enough's enough

31/5/2016

I’ve had enough – I really have.  In fact I’ve had enough for a while now.  Whilst I sit and watch other clubs be linked with players, contracts tied up, pre season planned, and visions outlined, we don’t even know who our manager will be – because Cellino doesn’t seem able to communicate with the most important people in our wonderful football club… the fans.

We have highly rated young players like Taylor and Cook  with a year left on their contract, we have a manager who hasn’t been told if he will be in charge in a month, we have managers who with all due respect, would previously walked over hot coals to manage us, turning us down to stay with a ‘smaller club’  (and I don’t know anyone who thinks they’ve made the wrong choice, because our club is a joke).  We’ve the usual empty promises (this season will be the one, which I’m sure was promised last year).  The ‘In Massimo we Trust’ supporters are thinning as more and more turn to not caring or ‘Time to Go Massimo’ – there is a divide in the fanbase – and it, like everything else out our club, is toxic.
I’ve had enough, and with a heavy heart, won’t be getting a season ticket next year.  I’ll support the club, and as soon as Massimo goes (or cleans up his act), will return.  Until then, I cannot give any more money to the man who seems to be destroying the club bit by bit…. I’ve had enough…

I have been going to elland road since 1969 and I have seen it all. This current owner is poor but no worse than several others not least the worst of all Gfh.

I happen to think that whatever coach we have and what ever money we spend it will be futile until someone sits down and does a Howard wilkinson and adopts a long term plan.

Long term plans work. There will always be peaks and troughs but if you stick to your guns they work.

As a club we are the laughing stock but I do feel we get more stick from the authorities than is necessary and until we start a charm offensive with the FA and FL it will not alter.

THe fans cry out to be kept informed. I'm not too concede that we have to know everything but bloody he'll we ought to know who the manager is and when we start preseason etc.

Cellino must have a plan and I feel certain it was discussed at the board meeting but with no manager and no contracts sorted out we look rudderless.

In short we need a radical shake up which does not need a billionaire it needs a common sense strategy within a reasonable budget and the coaches need to know they have a chance to achieve their objectives.

Sadly until we can get rid of Gfh there is no chance of getting the ground back as I can see nobody wanting to feather the nest of these leeches from the Middle East and I don't blame them because neither would I.

Maybe Cellino does have a plan. To get Steve Evans to eventually accept reappointment at a reduced salary. This would be completely in line with the way he treats his staff and people generally.

One of the most sensible posts I have seen on a Leeds website for a long time.

'The current owner is no worse than several others'....what!.... 'Cellini must have a plan'...what!..... Everyone can now see that we are plumbing the depths so far as the entire history of Leeds Utd is concerned. This Clown in charge has no plan, no intelligence or no respect for the fans or his employees. As long as anyone like you credits this idiot with any credibility he will feed off your misguided support. Get real and realise that the deception, lies, and lunacy of this idiot is about to leave Leeds United another historical fallen giant like Bolton, Preston and (God forbid) Huddersfield. Wake up and see the reality of what Cellino is doing before you're sat in an average attendance of 15,0000 at Elland Rd wondering what's happened.

I think it fair to say Cellino seems to have no need to communicate with anyone he doesn't want to and certainly not to people who may well have pissed him off.
He will do everything he wants... to his own timetable seemingly and supported with soon to be... 15000 season ticket sales.
TTGM or others will not influence him when an overwhelming mandate has been given to him in ST sales.
This will be his 'do or die' season... not the Fans/Supporters.

Mr Bigwheels is spot on. The supporters need to show a united front one way or the other and if season tickets are going like hot cakes, Cellino will stay. The annoying thing for me is that Cellino can communicate when he wants to publically belittle his managers but is silence of the lambs when it comes to the fans.

Without Massimo's season ticket offer, I think season ticket sales would be at a new low.
However we Yorkshire folk cannot resist a bargain.
Let's hope it is honoured!
MC's first priority must be to keep out of jail.
The Italian case looks serious, and they don't like Massimo in the Italian Judiciary.
I cannot even guess what he is up to now, in terms of LU.
The media links us to players, but this is not true.
We are doing nothing just now in all areas of the club.
I am not upset anymore.
I am way past that!!!
We are completely powerless, so lets not worry about things we cannot control.

Here's how it will probably pan out.... Season tickets sales are good because of the offer of a refund. When we fail to achieve a top 6 place, the refund will most likely be in the form of a discount on the following seasons Season Ticket sales and if MC keeps his word (for once), he will sell up and the next owner will be stuffed with reduced revenues.

I get a bit confused, when I read fellow Leeds fans moaning about Cellino, or GFH. But then in the next breath, they go on about support 'the team' by going to games. They bemoan the manager; players and state of the club, but they still buy their season tickets. Fans are the problem - they just can't stay away. That is the only way to rid Leeds United of these leeches. You are supporting Cellino and putting money in his pocket. 12,000 season tickets have already been sold and we have no resolution over contracts, the manager and no signings have been made, talk about blind loyalty! The money-back offer is garbage and was designed to get you to buy your season ticket and as usual a little drop of bullshit was all some people needed. I'm amazed at how much some fans can swallow from these sewer-rats and still hand over their hard-earned to them, to watch second-rate football. I've been a fan for 43 years and have seen it all, but I decided enough was enough and my money now stays in my pocket, until something changes. Whilst Leeds supporters are the best, but they need to wake up and smell the coffee. Yes, it would hurt the club financially in the short-term, but GFH and Cellino would cut their loss and run if attendances started falling dramatically. We really are our own worst enemy.

I like many fans over the last few years, have stopped going. I see the way the club, manager, players and fans are treated and I am amazed that the rest of the fans can't see the problem. Stop giving him money, he said before that he had enough of the club and then 'supporters' give him mi££ions. Get real, get organised and get rid of Cellino or the club will be going down.

I can understand people stopping going and those buying a season ticket as I have but the bottom line is we are going backwards here.

I reckon if Steve Evans was left alone for a season and allowed to sign players at modest cost as well as keeping the ones he wants we'd have a fighting chance of top six

The keeper is improving, the centre halfs are all poor maybe cooper could do a job

We have a decent midfield and only one striker of note in wood who is also poor but can do a job. So two new centre halfs keep the young players and sign to decent forwards preferably one at least with pace and one who can head a ball

From a football point of view that would probably do it

Cost about 8 million plus wages

Get rid of dead wood and overall outlay nearer 5 million plus wages

That is being realistic for several years we have conceded goals for fun and it's never been addressed

Scoring is the same

Lu fan for 47 years seen all the ups and downs but this guy (cellino)is the most disrespectful person u could come up against even his siblings are getting in on the act. To treat Steve Evans like this just shows u what type of person he is and let's not forget those worthless hangers on gfh sorry to say it we are going nowhere till we get rid of both don't hold your breath at getting any money back at the end of next season

Guys, you are missing the point here. Season tickets generate around £4-5m. It's TV that pays the big money not season tickets. Therefore other than empty stadiums we are powerless to change the financial dynamic of the club.

I love Leeds and whether Cellino or GFH or any other idiot is in charge I will still be driving 500 miles round trip to watch LUFC and supporting them so for crying out loud guys lets get behind the club and not keep fighting against it.

Henry
31/5/2016 19:55:34

It would be £4- £5 million in season tickets, plus food and drink and merchandise purchased. It is a lot of money to MC, as it was to KB.
However I understand exactly how you feel.
However driving a 500 mile round trip, to watch our poor team, is something I wouldn't do.
The next few weeks will decide where we are going, and that will be the time for me to decide.
Massimo owns the club, and the only power we have is to keep our money in our pockets, if we want to make a point.
Protests and grumbles have no effect on someone like MC.

Understand that but being UNITED is key here. The kids in our team will read all the negativity and be wondering why should we stay. The fans have to make the players want to stay, want to perform, want to deliver and the fans can pull Leeds through this. If we could get the atmosphere we get at away grounds at ER it would be a fearsome place and we would find few if any teams beating us. Last season it was all too easy for away teams because of the divisions. We spent half the season slagging off Evans and now most seem to want him to stay! Evans isn't good enough. Let's hope the guy we bring in is and let's hope the supporters rally behind us.

well saidd CC its still the team we love if we dont support our team i fear we will be lost forever apart from the nut job owner its still our team we must keep supporting the club or we will lose our very good accademywhich is the back bone of our future.

Henry

The kids will not stay for the fans CC!!
They will stay if Cellino wants to keep them, and he is prepared to offer better contracts.
They will stay if Cellino shows ambition.
The fans have nothing to do with it.
Cellino can make us united or angry and disappointed.
The atmosphere at the ground is generated by the team.
Fans will never cheer a poor team!!

Gfh are leeches who's only interest is money, the club is irrelevant. Cellino is awkward and arrogant but he is the only person who has been willing to put money into the club without which we would probably be a division lower at best and bankrupt at worst. His treatment of Evans has been atrocious and he struggles to make a good impression on anyone especially the FA and FL. My question is who would be daft enough and rich enough to invest in the lame duck that is LUFC. With all his faults Cellino is are only option we have so stop whinging , get your heads out of the sand and get behind the club. Things can only improve, who knows, new manager, keep our young quality players and three good signings and we could be up and running again. And get rid of Gfh.

Until Cellino and GFH leave our great club we will never achieve greatness again. Hate Cellino and GFH.
