Reports are surfacing this morning that Leeds left back Charlie Taylor is in talks with both Stoke and Liverpool about a potential move. The defender, who pretty much cleaned up the various Leeds player of the year awards, has one year left on his contract, and rumour has it that Leeds are looking to cash in. However, the Yorkshrire Posts Phil Hay has stated that there have been no offers made or accepted for Taylor, so for now, it is just talk-however, it looks to be following a similar pattern to Sam Byram who left in the January transfer window as his contract ran down. Taylor is one of two young players who's deal runs out at the end of next season, the other been Lewis Cook-both players are absolutely vital if Leeds are to have any hope of challenging for the play offs.. A new deal for these 2 players is more important than any new transfers coming in...

It is vital that we keep our best players and add quality to the squad for next season, otherwise we will never get promotion. 7/6/2016 11:49:28
Why would he want to leave Leeds just to sit on the bench when he can get a regular game with us?

Sadly, for £15,000 a week difference and a chance to play at the top level, both of which currently look a remote possibility with us!

I have heard that he is not happy at Leeds and was looking for a Premier side to come in for him. I think if someone offered to double your wage then you would run the risk of warming the bench

If he's in talks with other clubs, then LUFC must have given permission. Otherwise he is being openly tapped up. Looks like our future is being sold from under the new manager already. Comments are closed.
