If you really wanted to make a mockery of the farcical situation at Leeds, you'd plan to announce a key decision of the biggest practical joke day of the year...roll on 1st April!
QC, Tim Kerr has spent the evening deliberating and is expected to give his decision at some point today on Massimo Cellino and his appeal against the Football League. Cellino became the first person to be formally declined under the League's 'Fit and Proper person' test, following a conviction for Tax evasion in Italy related to the registration of a luxury yacht.
Cellino and his lawyers will be arguing that under complex Italian laws, the conviction is not classed as a criminal act and was simply a tax ruling, but under British law, the same actions would have produced a criminal conviction. Quite how the QC will see it, remains to be seen.
We'll update as soon as we hear anything, or follow us on Twitter @ulufc.
Update 9:30am - we are hearing the decision will be announced on Thursday or friday with the QC giving 24 hours notice...
