David Haigh has announced his resignation from Leeds. Haigh, the clubs MD had wanted to stay on during Cellino's reign, and had left GFHc recently, to concentrate fully on the club.
He said he has no alternative following comments made by, and on behalf of the new owner. That owner, Massimo Cellino, has been very vocal about Haigh-and none of it complimentary.
The majority of Leeds fan will be pleased with the news. Haigh was seen as the master of spin and false promises. He has been imcredibly naive over the last few months-constantly getting the fans hopes up with tweets, then going quiet when things started to unravel. He has also jumped ship to different bidders as he desperately tried to side with whoever looked to be in pole position.
To be fair, he has been the public face of GFH and GFHc, and there are many other faceless people who have let him pick up a lot of flack-however, him leaving the club was always going to happen-was just a matter of if he jumped before he was pushed...and he has..
