There appears to be a huge dispute going on between GFH and Massimo Cellino as to who should be paying the players this week. The Yorkshire Posts excellent Phil Hay reports that both parties are expecting the other to pay.
I'm led to believe that Cellino had agreed to fund the club for 6 months, but, with his rejection earlier this week by the Football League, he is understood to be no longer happy to plough his money into the club. GFH, for their part, don't want to put any more into the club at all, and have effectively contributed nothing for the last few months.
Wages are due on Friday, and the dispute needs sorting, and money paid tomorrow for them to be paid on time..
Hay reports that there is a chance that a 3rd party may be covering the wages-without naming who..
More trouble ahead..
