Brian McDermott spoke after Leeds' narrow 2-1 defeat at Burnley. A much improved performance saw Leeds take the lead through Ross McCormack before Burnley edged home 2-1.
Mcdermott spoke of his frustration that Leeds got nothing out of the game, and his disappointment at the loss. He says he got a response out of the players, but didn't get the result which is the bottom line. He was bitterly disappointed that we lost the game.
He was happy with the amount of balls put into the box and the pressure we put them under, but said we didn't get the breaks today.
He mentioned Ashley Barnes, a player he tried to sign, and said he ran in behind well. He said McCormack did that role well today. He was also happy with Smith, and happy with Wickham playing on the left-where he scored a lot of goals for Ipswich.
Confirmed that Robbie McDaid is almost signed, one for the future.
Finally was delighted with the fans but was absolutely gutted that we got nothing out of the match..
