McDermott-time to go? Bolton hammer Leeds

8/3/2014

Leeds boss Brian McDermott is under huge pressure following their appalling 5-1 defeat at home to Bolton. An even first half was only note able for its uneventfullness (is that a word?), until Bolton scored just before the break-the second half though was awful-Bolton seemingly scoring at will, going 5 up before Matt smiths last minute consolation. Prospective owner Massimo Cellino was in the crowd, and with his history of sacking managers, McDermott must be more than a little nervous. I'm not a fan of sacking the manager-I believe on stability-however, this defeat makes me question that-I think McDermott will be incredibly lucky to survive this, and thinks it's only the fact that Cellino is not officially in charge that may spare him.

Leeds fans demand passion and pride as a minimum, but that's not what they got at all today. An abject, lifeless, uninspiring performance means that there are a lot of questions that need answering as the farce that is Leeds united lurches towards another low point.

Im sorry but the softly softly approach and "poor little wingers have lost confidence" perhaps but they are paid an awful lot of money, so need to grow a pair or move on fast.

Id get rid of BM now....I don't see how he can leave Byram and mowatt out at the start when we have Zero penetration. He should be getting the best out of these youngsters not benching them in favour of his favourites. Peltier should be at centre back, hes almost as good as Pearce their.

GFH cant afford to sack BM so we must continue to watch this farce and be lectured on being nice to his players.......

Also your better players cant gel if they arnt played enough together.........

seasons over, time to get rid of BM and play the kids

Kebe and Stewart are absolutely crap, no confidence(or pace) to take on even the slowest of defenders. Most of our team cant pass a ball, and arent confident when its at their feet. Bring back Simon Grayson, if he hadnt have had our best players sold from underneath him, we would have been in the Premier league by now....

I totally agree! Not the best wingers . Stewart looks like a park footballer trying to show off without any penertration. Now we have no hope of play offs its time to get rid of crap and build now with our youth. Bring poleon back and put dawson in as well.

Can't put my finger on it, but something stinks about this club.
Old Revie boy, years on the terraces it makes me sick to the stomach. This is a premiere club, the fans, the set up, the whole history. We can't get a decent buyer just second rate backers, any half decent player is sold, who wants to manage this lot. I don't care if the Mafia run this club, for crying out loud give us something to shout and cheer about. This is an insult to all the great guys who sweat blood for Leeds and poor old Billy must be turning in his grave

Allan is right & so are Massimos post match comments. Let's have a nee approach & let Massimo bring in his man. He has the passion for Leeds, what more can we ask for?

How nice to see other people saying what I've said for months, agree with all above who know what there talking about.Grayson going was a disaster ,BMCD plays favourites Austin,Kebe ,Stewart even though they are hopeless and Wooton even worse than those .I've said all season Lees and Peltier were our best c.bs & why no Poleon on bench incase the obvious need to get the 2 wide men off without putting the whole team out of shape .To think White used to get stick for sweating blood, compare him to the 2 frightened rabbits.last time oooooh brian McDermott got stuffed he called a meeting and was told what to do, we won 5 1 lets hope he asks the players again.Danns and Davies showed what m.fielders should be to day, both up for grabs this season look what Brian got in ?

I cannot believe that 29'000 turned up at ER yesterday! A point at QPR and everyone believes the clap-trap coming from the manager & the players that they can still make the play-offs. 3 decent performances all season v Birmingham, the dog botherers and Charlton away does not make us promotion candidates, take away McCormacks goals and we would be f**ked. Tues night should see Byram, White (is he fit?), Poleon, Mowatt replacing Wootton, Warnock, Stewart & Kebe. Bet there won't be 29'000 then either
