Mike Farnan-is it time to step up? Takeover latest

19/3/2014

With the news yesterday that Massimo Cellino was found guilty of tax evasion, the chances of him being approved 'fit and proper' seem to be taking a nosedive. If that's the case, there's only one player left in town..Mike Farnans TogetherLeeds group. The consortium includes Welcome to Yorkshire Chief Executive Gary Verity, Res Strike Marketing executive Frsnk Devoy and former Hull City Chairman Adam Pearson.

The group put a 'risible' offer in November last year-which sparked the also failed Andrew Flowers bid (you still keeping up!!). However, Farnan has appeared to be waiting in the wings since, and says his group are ready to go. They have been unable to get to the table with GFH as they were confident of doing a deal with Cellino..

If the Cellino deal is indeed dead, it's now time for Farnan to step up. It's fine shouting in the background about plans and finances while Cellino's bid looked to be progressing-it might be time to see if the TogetherLeeds bid actually is a serious offer with serious money... If it isn't...what hope...

Well it's because it is LUFC. Look at the other clubs that have questionable owners, Farnham will come in with a bid lower than the last one, and seeing as Cellino is'nt the owner of Eleonora sports they should get the green light. MOT.

Let`s still hope Cellino deal goes through. This prospective owner has big potential, which is the complete opposite of the Farnan group!!

Will Farnan still be interested in a business that now adds Cellino to its list of creditors? More debts, more uncertainty, and more risk of administration. I would stay well clear if I was Farnan. Bleak times ahead. MOT
