Norris, 32, joined Leeds United last summer on a free transfer from Portsmouth and featured under former manager, Neil Warnock. He played 30 games last season, scoring 3 goals, but since the arrival of McDermott, he has been unable to force his way into the first team.
With money known to be tight at Leeds, largely due to former Chairman Ken Bates forward selling season ticket money to secure loans to develop the ground, any reduction in the wage bill would be welcome. Norris was transfer listed in the summer but with the transfer window closed, a spell on loan at another club is his only option.
