Strikers in demand

1/9/2014

Leeds strikers Matt Smith and Dominic Poleon could both be on the way out of the club. Fulham are targeting Smith, who only signed a contract extension last month. Deal could be concluded tonight as they haven't had a form no from Leeds. Poleon is wants by a number of lower league clubs-both as a loan and a permanent deal-his chances at Leeds are going to be few and far between with plenty of strikers at the club.

Leeds are also looking to offload several other sq uad players as the emergence of more youngsters and the 14 new signings means there have to be plenty moving on..

It's started he's doing what he did in Italy he gets young players in and sells them on at a profit. Where now a feeder club for Fulham and any other club who as the money instead of just Norwich.

I'd rather have both give the Hunt+Morrison free gratis

Josh, I'm not quite sure how he's getting " young players in and sells them on at a profit" - what he's actually doing is getting rid of the deadwood that's been left behind by previous managers.

He hasn't been in the job long enough to bring someone in and sell them on.

McCormack was a big loss, but you don't turn down £11m in the Championship.

Matt Smith hasn't exactly set the world alight this season, but Cellion saw that Fulham were interested, so gave him a new contract and now Fulham will have to stump up more cash for him. Sounds like brilliant business to me

Correct.

Remember under Bates our best players didn't get a new contract for their efforts instead we sold them for the very first derisory offer as soon as they had less than a years contract. At least we know that Smith will stay unless we get offered silly money. Win, win

When M C started to bring in the young foreign players a lot of negative posts .
Sat the gk was excellent and other players show good signs of improvement ,with the new boys and two weeks to work with them ,I like to feel positive that we can progress as these players are not all near the end of there career ,which has been the form for the last good however many years .
The norm has been to sell young talent not buy them .
