Takeover-another delay?

4/4/2014

It's looking like there won't be a decision on Cellino's appeal today after all. All signs were leading to an announcement around 6.00, but this is now looking increasingly unlikely. Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Post, Radio Leeds' Adam Pope and the Sun's Simon Austin who are all close to the story are hearing that there's a delay. It may indicate Mike Farnans involvement with Cellino has been discussed with the Football League, or it may be that the QC is still waiting for more information. Whatever the potential delay, it's no surprise that this continues to drag on..

WORDS FAIL ME,WELL ALMOST,ARE THEY LOOKING AT A WAY OF BARRING A COLLUSION WITH FARNAN?

Remember this QC is a Chelsea fan so anything to hurt Leeds more and make Bates and Harvey happy is the order of the day.

Longest single day hearing in history. FL must be frantic trying to dig dirt on other consortium members.

Trying to stay optimistic. a development must be a good thing from where we are, unless there is another fraud charge being brought against Cellino....
Another thing that is coming clear is that, although he ain't great David Haigh is not the worst of our directors and is certainly not a Bates version II.
In other news I see that the Leeds legend Jacob Burns has announced his retirement from the game!

We all hate Leeds scum, do the FL want Leeds out?? I wouldnt expect the other clubs to want this because we generate the most revenue at all the grounds we go to...come on Ken Bates QC try to forget you are a twat and do something good for a change!

Let's hope that the announcement of a joint ownership will sway the QC and the Football league, roll on next season when we can hopefully play some quality signings. ( a virtually new team!!! Mot)

All of the take-over delays over the past two months are just a conspiracy, by many of the low-life Leeds haters, to put Leeds out off business completely.
If the announcement is delayed to next week, then Leeds might as well not turn up at Wigan tomorrow, because it will be a certain defeat for that bunch of losers, who call themselves Leeds players.
As for McDermott, he must be dreading the announcement, because he will be sacked and take a huge pay-off, the moment that the new owner takes over.

I thought I would take the opportunity to ask the football league foir myself via the contact email address on their website. below is the reply I got. Perhaps we should all email them to pressure the situation

'enquiries@football-league.co.uk'

Michael,

Thank you for your email, your comments have been noted.

The League recently provided the following statement and decision document regarding Massimo Cellino http://www.football-league.co.uk/footballleaguenews/20140324/football-league-statement-massimo-cellino_2293334_3729469.

We would recommend you read through the decision document at the foot of the article for information on ineligibility.

In addition, a Football League spokesman recently said:

“The Football League can confirm that the legal representatives of Massimo Cellino have lodged an appeal against The League’s decision that he is subject to a disqualifying condition under its Owners’ and Directors’ Test.

“The appeal will be heard by an independent QC, who will have access to independent expert evidence relating to certain aspects of Italian law and will determine the matter following submissions from both parties.

“The appeal will be convened at the earliest opportunity, in line with The Football League’s previous commitment to expedite the appeal process to deliver much-needed certainty to all the relevant parties.”

Due to the fact that an appeal has been lodged we are not commenting further on this matter at this time.

Thank you for contacting The Football League.

Kind Regards,

Another typical delay from the FL and agree with Allan it looks like the powers of influence are determined for Leeds United continuing pain. More pressure on the team to deliver a win which if not materialising will drag us into a relegation battle - are they determined to let us go into administration again. This never happens to anyone else!

I am trying to be upbeat about this delay. Are the powers that be trying to come to a decision which Includes together leeds and elanorasports this gives everyone involved to come out with out losing face. Maybe I am just a dreamer.
