On Monday, QC Tim Kerr heard representation from Massimo Cellino's appeal against the Football League's decision to reject him as a 'Fit and Proper' person to own a football club. The expected result was not forthcoming. A leaked phone call with Cellino was also doing the rounds across social media, winning Cellino and army of new fans.
On Tuesday, the only news that filtered out was that there would be no news, with a decisions due Thursday or Friday. Leeds also lost to Charlton and 'fans' abused Ross McCormack's wife on Twitter! (We use the word fans for simplicity!)
On Wednesday it is was confirmed the Leeds players had NOT been paid their remaining wage as promised but had received further assurances from David Haigh that all would be resolved when the result of the appeal was confirmed.
Quite what this means is anyones guess. Why does Cellino need Together Leeds if his appeal succeeds? How can Cellino be part of any deal to purchase the club if his appeal fails? Who the hell owns what and is selling what and is this just going to delay things further?
The appeal ruling is imminent we are learning today. Does that mean today or tomorrow? Given this is Leeds United, it probably means just after Easter - but charge your phones up and stand by! What happens next and when it happens is not even worth second guessing, but it's going to be interesting and we forecast there are a few more twist and turns yet...
