I love a whisky. The wife is out, snooker on the tele and I've currently got a large Whisky, a Jura, not my usual but it was a present. It's doing a good job.
My favourite is Bowmore, the 12 Yr old one. Bit pricy for a Thursday night, just fancy a drink, kind of night.
Bushmills is usual, quite cheap but very moreish.
1 - do you drink Whisky

We did a distillery tour at Annandale earlier this year. Interesting tour plus you got a good sample of the 6 or so different ones they do. The wife was driving so I filled my boots.
Some cracking answers on here and I will be certainly trying some of your recommendations.
It is that warm, cosy and relaxed feel you get after just a few sips. You can't beat it. Turns a boring evening in to a contented one.
Turns your liver from a healthy one to shrivelled up one too I suppose but what the hell.
Do you drink whisky-I do but not as much as I used to because I it always tastes like more to me and now I get a 3 day hangover if I take down a bottle,I'm mainly a beer drinker these days.
Favourite Whiskey-Glenfiddich 12 year old/15 year old
Cheaper go to- Jameson or Powers
Do you drink Whisky-I can't remember
1 - do you drink Whisky - poured me a dram after finishing work and before reading this
2- what's your fav - partial to smoky Islay single malts, can't really pick one favourite, though
3- what's your cheap go to one - Lidl's own label Islay
4 - why do you drink whisky - must be the warm feeling and nice taste. Being past middle age, it doesn't hurt that there's a nice amount of alcohol and not that much liquid.
Love a good single malt, particularly the Islays, though less keen on Laphroaig these days, other than as a very occasional winter-warmer. Caol Islay a particular favourite - but Bowmore definitely up there.
Not a huge fan of the often-discounted and heavily marketed NAS ones, though - such as Highland Park Viking, Talisker Skye or Glenlivet Founders Reserve.
Recently felt that it's worth paying a bit more to get a guaranteed good one. Discovered Ardnamurchan AD/07.21:05 last year - only a little more expensive and I loved it!
Local offie also does a lovely Benromach peat smoke Speyside.
Just love the variations and complexities of flavour and experimenting with how much water (if any) to add to bring the best out of them.
Keen to extend my repertoire, particularly into Japanese malts and American bourbons. Also want to try a cask strength single malt.
Pernod, Ricard, Pastis, Sambucca for me and all very similar aniseed based.... either with a dash of water or lemonade.
NEVER liked the very small taste of whisky I've ever had....
Try a Port and Brandy mixed together and very smooth.... Coops has a couple of these before every game and swears by it and doesn't seem to do him any harm 🙈🤣👍🍻🥂🥂
1 - do you drink Whisky - Yes, I was having a quiet dram last night too...
2- what's your fav - I am a disciple of Talisker
3- what's your cheap go to one - A Talisker Skye or Storm, but anything Islay less peaty than Laphroaig (so Bowmore is good etc.), I do like Bushmills as something different....
4 - Why do you drink whisky - I love the variety of flavour and the warmth
1 - do you drink Whisky - Yes
2- what's your fav - currently it is 15 year old Shinobu Mzunara oak single malt Japanese whisky
