All the above means that me who doesn't have a n away ticket but has been to 99% of away games even when we were terrible under heck/evans/warnock and their ilk will now not be certain of a ticket when we come to play scum, I have as much chance as say a bloke that started doing aways last Season and maybe went ti 6 aways. Plus some members who have never been away might be at the game.
I agree it needs shaking up to avoid the closed shop but to do it in our first season back is a kick in the teeth to those that have earned the loyalty.
I wouldn't have had an issue if they had done it the following season, young fans do need the opportunity to go away and it livens the support up.
These are just proposals at this stage so not finalises.
The club are probably doing to sell more memberships, giving people a small hope they may get an away ticket.
Away Season Tickets will be retained, but no new ones will be issued, even if supporters do not renew
No away ground gives more than 3000 tickets, some are less.
The club does not want a closed shop for away tickets.
The distribution will be as follows
1. Away Season Tickets
2. Loyalty -pitched at a level where there is a one in two chance of getting a ticket. (not as before where it was pitched at a loyalty level where everybody got a ticket)
3. Season ticket holders - some available to Season Ticket holders irrespective of loyalty points on first come first served basis.
4. Members - a small allocation
LUFC makes it clear that they wants to expand the availability of away tickets to a broader fan base, however the majority will go to loyalty.
Away Season Ticket prices will be released this week, although there is a cap of £30 on away tickets this rule does not apply to concessions and the club is waiting for a few clubs in this regard. They hope to make an announcement this week.
How’s that working this season then
I missed that on OS or email
Hope that answers your question STM.
