Phillips is the most important in my opinion due to how much we struggle without him. No one has managed to reliably replace him without the team balance being negatively effected in some way. Dallas plays a massive role obviously due to his versatility and consistency however that doesn’t make him irreplaceable. If we sign a high profile left back and centre mid then im afraid that drops Dallas down to a rotation/cover player. I would also argue Bamford is more important than Dallas for the same reason, he is fine tuned to our No9 role and no other player can fill his shoes.
For me its Kalvin, as others have said nobody else in the squad can play his role (not even Dallas) and on the occasions Kalvin isnt available to play we struggle, despite Pascal's valiant efforts...
Dallas is a wonderful player and has many strings to his bow and i dare say when the opposition manager sets out his game plan when playing Leeds, the what do we do to stop Dallas question arises a few times id say, but i think most managers come to the conclusion stop Philips you stop many aspects of Leeds United that cause teams problems so for me the answer is Kalvin Philips.
Both have made giant strides. Philips the best in his position, Dallas so versitale. Before Dallas seemed to less effective when he had to play in the center of midfield, now he looks at home in just about every position.
1972: I rate Dallas a lot; he’s an honest, loyal, hard-working and very versatile player with a good shot and few goals in him, too. However, Phillips is to me THE most important player in our team - his reading of the game and the calmness he offers, both defensively and distribution of the ball, is unique among our players. I hope he’ll stay with us a long time - to win things and to become a legend!
This season both are equally important, sorry 1972, I got your jist but had to give my opinion. Who would have thought 4 years ago these 2 guys would be so vital in a Premier league season? Many were crying out for them to go and some even offering to drive them to their next destination!
Maybe the thread wasn't quite clear enough in what I was trying to get people's views on. The jist was, if you had a choice between Dallas and Phillips, forget the others, who would you pick? Hope that makes it a bit clearer!
I would say Ayling, Cooper, Philips, Dallas and Bamford form the spine of the team. They embody the MB philosophy, ethos and workrate. However, of all of them, Coops and Ayling are the leaders and therefore the most valuable.
I would vote for Dallas as my player of the season but accept Kalvin is vital to our team as is Hattrick.

What do i win Glory???😁
I’d even say Dallas offers more for us than Milner could. Dallas for example, pops up with the odd goal and is a great finisher.
With Dallas available to fill several positions equally well, does this make him a jack of all trades (master of none - bit harsh).
His versatility has slowed the constant Milner rumour mill which had been rife 12 months ago.

It is weary hard to choose from those two but andyl sum it up weary well upp
Both players had indifferent starts.
I thought we had signed a tricky winger from Brentford when Dallas arrived, but let’s be honest, we were all left a bit deflated.
Three seasons ago most of us wanted KP out of the door.
What a transformation in both players.
If I had to choose then it would be KP. No other player in our squad can do his role and we look all at sea when he’s missing.
Dallas has been immense though, his dedication and application is second to non.

It certainly is Glory and too tough to call....
I'll say Llorente as soon as Koch is alongside him....

Sorry 1972 but it has to be both! Both were immense today.
I keep thinking about the Great Leeds Team
....that only ever started together once!
Why? Because Paul Madeley was always in the side covering somebody somewhere. Stuart Dallas is our Paul Madeley.
