Well I'm penning this by default as someone should have piped up and injected a bit of luck into us....
Nottingham is famous for :
The first traffic lights
Lace
Robin Hood.... even though he actually came from Sheffield
HP sauce
Ibruprofen was invented here in 2007 by a Dr Adams. The fkn scam artist died in 2019 which proves it doesn't work....
Nottingham was once known for having 8 birds to ONE bloke on a night out. Rumour has it that Lord Sunnytits actually pulled on a night out. Yeah, I know it's unbelievable and you can't believe everything....
Famous people from Nottingham include professional fister.... Carl Froch
22 toes pilot.... Dougie Bader
Fashionista.... Paul Smith
All 8 of the Chuckle Brothers
Quality cricketer.... Stuart Broad
Rod Hull and Emu
Dr Harold fkn Shipman! 😲
I'm going for a VERY positive 3-0 victory with Western Mackenzie finally coming good with a brace and Summerville notching....
I have done a little research for the Palace MDT and there is nothing to fkn go on.... nothing has ever happened to Palace and hardly anyone famous has ever lived there.
I therefore may have to make up a lot of bullshiit for once to get through this one. I know many of you rely on my facts and stats and even the Leeds programme takes my facts as gospel and copy and paste....
Just to warn you in advance....
Well done TC, what a relief.
Some fantastic performances last night. We should have won by more really.
Now a win against Palace and we are laughing.
Looks like Forest might sack Cooper, if I was a Forest fan I wouldn't want that, I rate him, I can't see anybody better coming in for the last few games. It's not like he is Jesse is it.
man last night they fought for the win roca and Weston playing the best I have seen them roll on sunday
I used to love Hattrick but can now see that he's had his time as undisputed first choice striker....
However, last night he held the ball up brilliantly to wait for others to join the play. This is why I don't like playing 2 defensive midfielders in front of our defence.... just play ONE!
Kalvin used to do it ok and I think Adams could. That man could be used up front ALONGSIDE another striker.... radical vibes!
This playing one up top does my head in. People will now say that only one up top is the way forward in the modern game.... bollox.
If everyone knows playing one up front is best these days then play TWO as they won't expect it!
It keeps their defence busy as they can't bring the ball out from the back!
It should be used as an ATTACKING ploy to get more goals than the opposition rather than the priority of not losing a game....
Teams like Barca and Citeh come out with these new found formations and tactics because they have the players who are comfortable to do it. No problem with trying to adapt some of that to our game to improve but ultimately it won't work cause we'll lose it at the back in our OWN penalty area!
We wanted TOTAL football from OUR boys at local youth level but found out the players were not comfortable doing it in their own area and conceded goals which hurt them.... even though we didn't mind. We therefore got them to start playing TOTAL football from 30yds away from our goal onwards.... far less chance of conceding if you give the ball away.
We have stopped it to an extent with Leeds but our defence is simply not good enough to play out. Some of these new tactics are just to make the coach and laymen sound better than someone else with the new sayings of a "high press" (there are a million more like that) etc. There was a high press in my day of playing for instance but people didn't go on about it. Ian Rush was one of the best and never stopped closing defenders space.... as well as scoring goals!
Yes, you are correct Mac in that I know more about football than yourself AND everyone else on here.... did I mention that I went to a friendly abroad in Spain which also makes me more passionate and a better supporter than everyone else?
Bull says both teams to score and leeds win its 11/4 in paddy power so lump on to cover costs of the journey if your travelling.
And to think people actually ignore my tips!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Wow just wow
Thats how to approach and play against a team that arent as good as you. well done TC10 your MDT has certainly done the trick and now please continue to make s**t up🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
How good were Jack and terror??? Personally i thought Bamford gave us room for the two wingers in particular to exploit space out wide but lads Paddy is our "striker" and only for the two lads that scored last night i honestly couldnt see any of the other 9 players knocking one in.
But lets not be negative, it was a great performance and Paddy did run his socks off for the team and without that maybe we wouldnt have taken all 3 points last night.
Ayling really blew hot and cold but you cant give the ball away that many times in a game, twice in the first 6 mins, lost count after that tbh. Roca and Weston played really well especially in the second half. Pascal was brilliant, as was Koch and again i ask how good were Jack and terror? Firpo played well and linked well with Sin and caused them no end of problems down the left especially in the first half, firpo just needs to breath and look up before his final ball into the box a good few times he created opportunities but the cross was poor and didnt pick out any white shirt, but overall he contributed to the winning of the game and played one of his better games for LUFC.
13th lads 13th we are only ten points off CHELSCUM
Javi Gracia is turning into a great fit.
For the first time in years we have adaptable tactics, which compliment the general fitness and youth of the group.
To see him make calls on selection and style to maximise points is really refresshing and yesterday we still played good stuff, pleasing to watch and attacking in intent.
Crystal Palace on Sunday offers a chance to go clear top of the 9 team relegation league and effectively just 4 points from safety if we win.
Thank you TC
Mckennie and Roca immense. Pascal and Kovh Immense. Firpo outstanding. Jack and Sinister-Terror immense. Just Bill looking poor
Great team performance against a team whose only tactic was to go long
I love Gracia!!!!.
This was the match that saw us face a team that likes to sit and counter attack thus allowing Roca that time he needs to play his game and boy did it show. Great match lad. Not your biggest fan but well played.
Weston Mckennie had a silent but extremely effective game. Did the little things well. Played like a true old school midfielder who goes from box to box. Anyone notice his little turns and short passes which were mord often to not forward. Good game lad.
Attention Leeds united coaching department. Notice that when you design a game plan which isolates both Harrison and Sinisterra one on one against the left and right fullback and then give them fast early ball they become dangerous. Please do this more often.
Now I am goin to say it as i counted. Luke Ayling game the ball away17 time in the first 40 minutes. Surely that is a drop-able stat line. Also Bamford xhould only be used if Rodrigo, Rutter, Joseph, Perkins, Greenwood(yes he is a striker), Gelthardt are all out. It lookec like both he and Ayling were competing in giving the ball away today.
Firpo and Struijk played very well today...
truijk
We were EXCELLENT overall.... 👏
Koch, Strukij, Firpo, Roca, Harrison, Sinesterra and Bamford were excellent tonight 👏👏👏👏
After winning though we are flying up the table but only 2 fkn points off relegation!!
Luckily enough there are loads of teams in between us and it's now going to be the head to heads of beating the teams around us.
Our season is all about the next 5 games really as we have Palace, Liverpool, Leicester, Fulham and Bournemouth....
Our last 4 games are against Citeh, Newcastle, Wet Spam and Spuds so we need to WIN some of our next few!
massive win & a good team performance ..
TC10 - your MDT was outstanding. Journalistic magic.
You are the king - lead us to safety boss 😍
I thought we played really well first half. Second was more even but I still felt pretty comfortable with how we played.
Roca had a blinder for me. Broke up plenty and his passing was bang on tonight. I though McKennie was good along side him. Does a fair bit of donkey work without really coming to note.
Sinisterra has that bit of class that we’ve missed, hopefully he stays fit.
Harrison was quality and never stopped as usual. He had one of his games where he generally makes the right decision. All too often he can be frustrating but tonight he did really well.
Struijk and Koch were solid as was Firpo.
Good win! Without Wober, Adams and Gnonto, so impressive. Roca really stood out, Struijk good too, and Harrison was on top of his game in the 1st half, particularly. Feels so much better now! MOT
Well done boys and congrats TC, now keep it going💛💙
We’re playing really well! Harrison and Sinisterra not only goal scorers, but our star men. Roca good, too. Come on Leeds!!!!!!
Wow my dicky ticker not up for this
Oh no, Ayling…..
