LEEDS V WEST HAM MDT (official)

I have been pondering this was 24 hrs and for the life of me i can not seem to make sense of Jesse Marsh's team selection based on the 4 -3 - 3 formation we played. Can someon please provide some rational on the following as i am confused.

1) When playing a 4 -3 - 3, Why was a winger/forward in Summerville asked to play in the midfield 3 while a midfielder in Aaronson as to play in the Forward 3?

2) When Klich and Greenwood came on. Klich who is midfielder was asked to play in the front 3 while Greenwood who is a forward was ask to play in the midfield 3.

To me, this is just asking players to fail or at the very least setting them up to. Am I seeing this wrong?

Got a live stream and in between buffering and finding new streams what I saw was we looked good against a Spammer side the qualified for Europe last season and have some great players.

Gnonto and Jimmy the standouts and Rodrigo scored a worldy. 10 now this season in 17. A great return.

I know this is really controversial at the moment and will upset everyone, but it has to be said.

I watched 17 years in the wilderness and am enjoying being back in the PL - we have a lot to appreciate Radz, Orta, Kinnear for.

Bielsa was an inspired recruit and did a great job reshaping us and getting us up, but we only scraped 9th in that first PL season because of a run of 5 wins in a row at the end - we were 12th - 14th for most of the season. When he got found out last season the club had to move forward, as indeed players have to. I quite like JM and hope he gets time to build a culture with a very young team, the RB model will serve us well in the future.

I support JM and Leeds Utd and don't want to be part of some revolt. We're the 14th best team in PL history with the 12th biggest stadium and guess what? We're 14th right now.

Last night we played well, tried to attack (because everybody was done with being negative at Newcastle) and still the moans and complaints. West Ham are a Europa League side with a 60,000 home support and remain below us in the table.

Our present management, and former, only seem to be able to play one way and one formation....NONE of our full backs can fkn defend!!

Why not fkn TRY 3 x CBs!!?

Ayling and Rasmussen are better going forward than defending and even Drameh is supposedly excellent further up the field.

I think Harrison would be an excellent wing back and even Firpo may look better going forward as he certainly can't defend!!

I've said before that in coaching in youth football we just gave the boys a shout and the holding midfielder dropped back and full backs pushed on.... it's not fkn rocket science for idiots like me let alone a manager on the training ground 4 days a fkn week!

Is this formation actually practised in training to see if we could have a Plan fkn B!?

Ayling clearly looked better last night than Rasmus has. He gives us something going forward which was remarkable as there was no b.ugger playing in front of him.

If we had similar on the other side we could play 3 at the back with 2 wing backs which might help out the bloody defence. But of course we don't have a left back do we.

I'm even more annoyed now with the klich situation than I was last night, they clearly don't give a damn about the attending fans they just want to make sure they have a cuddly video to put on their "socials".

They only upside of watching us at the minute is seeing gnonto and summerville play. They look to be enjoying it.

Mention to Rodrigo, having 10 goals playing in this team and set up is quite an achievement.

Thought BA was poor throughout but kind of feel he‘s being played in the wrong position. Agree about game mgt and that’s down to tosspot Marsch and Cooper. No need to go pressing with 2 mins till HT. felt like a point gained in the end but aside from Chelsea I’ve just not seen us control a game, any game, under Marsch. And when other describe him as being passionate I just see him as being a bit of a tit. Thought we looked better with Ayling tbh and having seen Rasmus get r*ped by Maxi-Pad the other week I would question if he’s good enough for the PL

and yes when we were 1 up in the dying moments of the 1st half we should have closed ranks (do nothing stupid) fcking time waste like every other club does when they play us, i dont give a flying fck but we gotta protect that lead going into the dressing room. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO we gave away the ball TWICE, STUPIDLY, and got caught, handing them a lifeline and boosting Moyes teamtalk instead of Jesse's.

But seriously what was BA thinking in opening moments of the second half?????? NO WORDS

When he came off TV pictures showed Jesse with his arms around BA and ok fair enough but if he starts next league match ahead of Jack then thats it im done with JM.

Without Harrison and Klich coming on i seriously dont think we would have even got a point but the game changed completely in our favor, we had more urgency to our play we pressed higher, we hunted in packs and sad to say but now that Klich is gone our squad is weaker no matter who Orta/Radz sign. The old school lads knows what LUFC stands for the new guys dont, the old school lads saw +30k inside ER in a second tier league many a time, those guys are slowly leaving the Club and i'll be honest unless we hold onto a few of the young lads that saw MB's time then we are on a slippery slope. Teams that have players that dont connect with the fans / area when the time to really dig in comes these players fade, wait till the manager gets sacked / relegated and the player just moves side ways to another team in the bottom half of the PL, holding up a new jersey kissing the badge.

I thought at 1 nil we should have gone on the to take all three points, which lets be honest should have been the target in the first place for Jesse, but at 2-1 down i couldnt see ant way back, but MAC is spot on Wet Spam are awful and we gifted them a point which im certain would Moyes would have taken at 7:30 last night.

So, we score 2 fantastic goals, at home, against a team enduring a run of 5 straight defeats and it is not enough to secure victory!

2 great goals for any other team at home in this league, would more than likely be enough to secure all 3 points against a struggling team like Wet Spam....But not for us!!

Other teams while 1-0 up with 45 mins gone, would employ appropriate game management tactics, in order to ensure that they go in at half time maintaining that lead.

But not us!! Yet again we manage to throw away that advantage by giving away a stupid and needless penalty and 'Boom', the momentum is now in the hands of the opposition!

To add further and ‘enormous’ insult to injury, we then go and gift them a second goal within one fookin’ minute of play resuming FFS!!!

No fookin’ game management whatsoever at this club then Jesse??!!!

For every team in the Premier League that is suffering a bad run of form, all they have to do is look at their fixture list to see when they play us, because that is when their bad run of form will end.... Guaranteed!....Because that is what we do!....We end everyone’s crap run of form!....Fact!!

Needing to score 2 goals in order to claim a point, at home, against a team that is really struggling, is a fookin’ joke!

Our two fantastic goals scored, don’t mean we claim all 3 points, because we cannot defend!....Not even against a team as crap as Wet Spam, who have just lost their previous 5 games!

So, we claim 1 measly point, at home, against this pile of sh1te!!! Despite our 2 fantastic goals!

And if we do not quickly work out a way to actually defend and pick up all 3 points against sh1te like this, then where the fook are we going to get enough points from to remain in this league?

Will we really have to score 3, 4 or even 5 goals to secure a victory?? It is not going to happen, because we don’t currently have that in our locker.

I am getting fed up with watching us struggle, constantly, to gain any kind of result or points, against any opposition. When we gain the lead, you just know that it will only be a matter of time before we relinquish it!

I watched the Brentford v Liverpool game on Sunday and how I wished we could batter teams like Liverpool, like that, (or anyone for that matter!) in a game that could well have ended up 5-1 to Brentford. That’s the same Brentford that came up the year after we did!

There is a fundamental flaw in JM’s game and it lies in defence....Or rather in the lack of it! Sort it out Jesse, or fook off back to USA before you take us back to the Championship!

It feels a bit like the life is gradually being sucked out of Elland Rd, crap atmosphere tonight.

We scored 2 good goals but gifted them 2. I love Gnoto, he really has a go, nothing fazes him for a young un.

I wish the club had announced it was going to be klich's last game, I left at the final whistle like most people oblivious to any send off he was getting. Disappointing that he deserved a full Elland Rd clapping him off.

Good luck to him, he was pivotal to us going up and a great character.
