This is a real insight into how we train and why pre-season training is so important. It also highlights why any further signings will have minimal impact for the early part of the season.
Gardner is head coach for the U18s and Mark Jackson head coach for U23s. Both ex LUFC players.
From what I have heard the playing style for men/boys is basically the same from the first team down to the U10's in the mens/boys setup. High press, quick passing, playing out from the back etc but with minor tweaks to adjust for ages.
There are many of the this generation that could not handle the type of requirements Beilsa extracts from his players. I have often wondered just how deep Beilsa's policies are going at the club. We know the U23's are benefiting and maybe the 18's but are the ladies and all the way down to the U10's?
On side note, is former Academy player Scott Gardner still at our club coaching? I remember few years back he was making his was up the ranks within as a bright young coach and rumors that he was to coach the 18's when Jackson moved to the 23's.
Heard that Shackleton, Forshaw and Berardi had beening doing all their coaching badges.
Then top that off with players having meal plans, body mass idex kpi's, fluid intake requirements, Fitness(cardiovascular) targets and individual video improvement anlayis session. Taking the things to the most professional level. It kind of similar to how the Germans did it in the 50' to 90's. Create that environment where players are pushed to get the very best out of their bodies and minds.
You must meet all of the above to play for Beilsa.
Wonderful stuff. Take it to insane levels - I am absolutely one-on-a-level with this manager. I think you have to ask yourself how many players would have the balls to join up with Leeds these days, or just take the easy option of a 'strict disciplinarian'!
And may I also offer the advice of a 12 foot wooden pole (solid Oak), to tap up-and-down on their shins whilst they are resting. They do it in martial arts - rock hard shins would be a nice afterthought of the regime.
Yes TC10, some of the headlines had me thinking, we've signed another...😜
On our official website though 5 out of the most recent 6 stories are about our fkn women's team.... why don't they have their own website!?
As much as I want them to win I'll only be watching their last game if they're going for the title or in the FA Cup final....
Bit of advice for Bull and Soopa with the feminist jokes.... it's not pc anymore.
If you're not careful you won't have your tea made for you tonight ....
My wife is into iPads and iPhones these days - so for Xmas I'm buying her an iRon.....
Wish me luck 😨
😃😃😅
The women don't use the "press" anymore BB
its all about the iron and food blenders these days😉
