I'm happy with the current setup. I'd prefer AR to stay. It's been the first time since the 1980s that the club has been properly run. All the American owners are bailing out at the moment, and I don't know if I could support a club owned by Saudi Arabia or Qatar.
I'm sure they are delighted until the rich people take their bat and ball home BB. You have to ask why they would give away free cash, sorry "invest" in a football club. There's always another motivation.
I thought Ridsdale was brilliant until I saw what the fallout looked like.
Middle Eat consortium reportedly trying to gazump 49rs to take over control of us.
Is it just AR mind games to get a quick sale this summer or is there some truth?
Barcodes fans don't care it is Saudi money funding them, Citeh fans dont care either nor do PSG fans. I wont care if it it something similar not like the fecking guys who bought us with no fecking money!
Radz may be facing having to pay £50million as he and others are being sued by a group of Chinese investors for commercial fraud relating to the purchase of International Sports Marketing Company 'MP & Silva' back in 2016 in a deal worth $1 billion.
High Court battles are both time-consuming and expensive, with legal costs expecting to run into many millions, on top of any financial award the Court may make; so we may not have sufficient funds in the New Year to strengthen the squad.
I'm completely serious. We aren't competing for the title, we aren't competing for champions league places. There's an outside possibility we might chase a UEFA Cup spot, but odds are we will finish mid table. So spending on transfers does not make sense, although loans could be an option.
It's also difficult to argue a case for a proper Number nine when we currently have the joint fourth highest goalscorer in the premiership. Bamford and Gelhardt offer plenty of support in reserve. As for defenders, we are more likely to sell than buy, as Cresswell will be returning next season and will need a route into the first team squad.
I really don't see the point of splashing out money for the sake of it and definitely not on back up players who block the path for younger players.
we believe so Steve - understand the process is underway from the end of this season, but we should have been ready in time, so the fact they are going without us suggests it's not as far on as we thought, or we couldn't offer guarantees like Villa?
Looking at the value the 3-4 billion that Liverpool put on their club, Leeds valuation of about half a billion seems well short. If I were Radz I'd hang on for another 12 months or so, as there are plenty of 'big hitters' out there with money to burn!
It's hard to formula the value of a club, but on the basis of revenues (Europe/sponsorship etc) and fan base it's a reasonable comparison for us to be well below Chelsea/Liverpool I'm afraid.
I would guess that currently we are worth £250-£300 million. Not sure how AR managed to agree a potential fee of £475million but 49rs own 44% of the club so need to find another £266million.
I'm very grateful for the progress we've made under him. I was reassured when I listened to Praag Marathe speak a few weeks ago - he does seem to be in a different category to other US owners like the Glazers.

I note today the bid for the UK and Eire to host Euro 2028 is released today
14 stadia identified - Elland Road not included.
Why? Because St James is bigger, Everton's new stadium is better, Spurs have a shiny new stadium, even Villa Park is being done up.... etc etc
In truth given the size of Leeds as a city it's time ER was upgraded, let alone for the prestige and financial return.

Staying in the PL is crucial, of course.
Personally. I would rather Radz stays on as owner. He’s done an outstanding job, definitely the best chairman Leeds have had since Leslie Silver.
It probably means there will be no real money available in Jan
Sounds like a good partnership and next step forward.... 👍
