None of this surprises me, our first choice defence appear in both tables, reinforcing that we have the most effective defence in the championship. The midfifelders also score well. The wingers, Gnonto, apart are a bit hit and miss. Aaronson is doing a decent job as a number 10. And the strikers aren't quite firing on all cylinders. Meslier's low scores more or less reflect how little he has had to do.
Some more OPTA stats, I think they will please us all.

86 points it is.
Some potential number 10 options and their average OPTA scores
Jack Clarke - 20.80
Alec Doughty - 18.90
Szmodics - 18.6
Hamer - 17.6
Bellingham 16.5
Aaron Ramsey - 15.8
I should really stress that an average of 20 is excellent. Hamer is averaging slightly less than Aaronson. Having not watched much Sheffield United, I can't say whether that's a correct call or not, but both are still decent scores.
Good info Smurf - thanks for posting.
Gelhardt we all realise is a 5th wheel on the car - he tries hard but time for a move in January.
Meslier - hmmm... I have absolutely championed him but he's not got any better over the last 3 years and I'm just starting to wonder if we need a new Keeper...
Formation isn't helping the wingers excel - we play narrow as Daniel2 will no doubt point out. Both 9s are limited - not by their talent but by the style methinks. 10 should be one of the top contributors - would love to see how Bellingham and Hamer score at their clubs?
Cheers Smurf but fkn knows how they work ....
Surely,Piroe should be better on average as he hasn't played as many minutes but obviously still has the same amount of goals!?
I'm sure OPTA is correct in this day and age of stats and Guilavogui is already 3x a better player than Bamford....
