So here we are! 3 games to go and all to play for.
We simply must get something from this game.
Chelsea have a FA Cup Final to look forward to a few days after this game. Does TT rest a few players or go all out for the win?
They cannot win the Title and should have enough of a points cushion to guarantee a place in the CL next season.
However, even if they rest their best 11, their second 11 will still be a team full of internationals.
The ER crowd have to get behind the guys wearing the famous white shirt. Inspire and be LOUD.
Hopefully, JM has a plan. He has shown v Arsenal he is tactically aware. 2-0 down after 10 minutes, down to 10 men a few minutes later and a home crowd enjoying their day.
I have to admit, when Luke got sent off, My Boy and I went to my allotment to do some weeding and fix the shed. We could not bear to watch anymore as we "knew" we were in for a 7+-0 drubbing.
A couple of hours and a few beers later we get home and were "pleasantly" surprised we only lost 2-1. Just a bit deflated when we learned the Everton result. Still that is life. Once a White, Always a White living the Ups and Downs.
If I were JM I would go for:
Meslier
James Llorente Pascal Firpo
KP Koch Bate
Rafa, Harrison
Joffy
A nervous evening beckons
Well done sir!
May the BB bandwagon take us to safety.
I too have hopes that Chelski will field the B team with the cup final approaching and that gives us a sniff. I'd take a point given what's to come.
Leeds 2 - 2 Chelski
I think JM should consider Harrison as a full back to cover in Luke's absence. I know, it sounds a bit crazy, but I thought it was mad when Gary Kelly was transformed from a winger to a full back and look how that turned out!. Harrison has speed and can actually defend, we could then put Shackelton at right back and leave that useless feck Firpo back in the dressing room. So my proposed team is:
Meslier
Shackleton Llorente Cooper (seems he will play) Harrison
Phillips Bate
Raphinha Rodrigo James
Joffy
Well no one said I was a manager lol!
Well I like it. I agree with you about Harrison
Same team as 1972Glory but with Struijk at LB.
Well done BB excellent mdt I bet Chelski don’t play as bad as they did v Everton
Just want us to play with our striker on the last man's shoulder. Who ever it is has not business dropping deep. Just want our wingers to receive the ball in the attacking 3rd of the field as both have had to pick it up in their iwn defensive 3rd for the last 2 games. Short goal kicks to be done away with. Lastly i expect less then 10 back passes to the goalkeeper for the game.
We do the above and we are big chance for great win.
Good luck bb.
Quality MDT BB and good luck for the final 3 games!!
Totally agree with Daniel on the back passes and short goal kicks. However much we love to play football from the back we simply haven't got the players to do it... we're not Citeh.
We were able to do it under Bielsa with free flowing football with confidence although that fkd up now and again....
I've no qualms with playing that football but only from 30yds from our own goal. Since Kalvin came back he is well off the pace and used to be able to come deep, get the ball off ANY of our defence and then either spray the ball out to the wings or at least keep the ball.... he seems to be hiding and he's vital to tick us over. We don't see him in his recent games because he's never on the ball! He's obviously doing his work off camera as usual but we don't see that. He's got where he is in the game because he can pass it as well....
The first 10 mins are vital and EVERY player has to steam in and let them know we're up for it.... not Aylingesque though. As a general rule you don't get booked in the first 10 and some of their nambie pambies will be thinking about not getting injured for the cup final.
I always predict a win but am going to change to a draw tonight to change our luck.... 1-1 with Raphinha hopefully not fkn sulking and notching.
