So, admit it – what’s the first game that you look for in July when the annual fixture list comes out? We all know the answer! it's when this lot, the hated tribe from across the hills, come to mighty Elland Road.
We must be honest it doesn't feel like a fantastic run of form to be facing them in, and even though they are not exactly ripping up trees themselves we've had enough bad experiences in the last season and a half to know what can happen if we don't sort it out.
On the plus side, you have got to think about the following: they had to play in midweek and they have to play again next midweek: we have finally had a break and it sounds like we might have some injury relief on the horizon: the final thing to bear in mind is that we all just ******* hate them! If the fans and players aren't up for this battle then there is no hope. They didn’t beat us on their last trip over…..
Unfortunately, his time around there are clouds over us that we can’t ignore – what the solution will be only time will tell.
Firstly the future of the Bucketgod himself – more and more it seems that this relationship has run its course and if that is the case is it reducing the belief in the team? More and more clickbait falling over itself to “reveal” arguments in-house over who did and didn’t want signings. Then there’s that infamous Plan B debate…..
Secondly Raphinha’s form and alleged refused contract talks – god, we need him on fire come Sunday.
Finally, when and how will the U23’s move up the gear we need them to – on loan or finally on the big stage? If the 10 wantaways story is true, then do we have an issue for the future.
I’m not even going to bother with an historical comparison, or any great players that played for both clubs, or any kind of nicities around that bunch.

Weather forecast:
Storm Dave has blown over this week, but Storm Esmeralda is wreaking havoc over Friday. By Sunday it’ll have demolished large parts of the Manchester slums and maybe less troglodytes will be able to crawl over the Pennines. The temperature will be somewhere between 7.6 and 7.7 degrees C, with a 45.3% chance of precipitation, of which it’s 98% likely to be rain. Windchill should be around -4 degrees due to the 6.4mph South by South-westerly winds coming into the stadium via the large screen corner. Those in the Revie Stand are advised to combine 2 thinner layers with a larger overcoat and perhaps a hat. Other attendees are recommended to wear a jumper and hat combo as long as they have a scarf and bought chips or a hot pie.
Prediction
Leeds 3 – 0 Man Utd (Roberts hat-trick)
Let battle commence!!!
Apologies all 😯
I had the misery of watching that on a phone in the middle of Oxford Street while the ladies shopped. Then had to battle to get "Oop North" after storm Frankenstein, or whatever shower of s&*^ it is this time.
BB - over to you good sir - get the job done where I couldn't.
Very shocked at the content of your post Bull....
.... I didn't know you had electricity in Ireland 🤣🤔😉😲😜🖕🥊🙈👍⚽
new day
But sadly the mood hasn't lifted, watched the game on sky and by fck was Neville so god damn one sided it was indescribable. Maybe its me that's wrong but i thought commentators were to unbiased, EVERY foul manu made was
a) not a foul
b) just slightly missed timed
c) didn't think it was a foul
d) conditions have played a part in that challenge
ffs i felt like calling Zouma to come over to play his favorite pastime with my cat (the dirty thing)
My electricity went out just before the HT whistle and to say i was delighted for it to come back at 2-2 i was ecstatic, but then for it to end up 2-4 i was gutted again. Saw 4 goals yesterday all manure 😡
Anyway, scums 3 and 4th goal both came from tiredness Firpo couldn't get back and Pascal was physically drained.
Slabhead's goal from the corner is unforgivable, i cant believe that an international defender and professional footballer thinks that is the way to defend a corner. a) he never got off the ground, b) he never attacked the ball but c) and the worst of the lot and soooooooooooooo far wrong i cant believe it he TURNED HIS BACK TO THE BALL????????????????? People will blame the keeper but fck me if they hadn't scored Llorentte should have been hauled over the coals for such a no no an U11 schoolboy wouldn't have done that, and i'll tell ye now lads he ain't no defender and as long as he is in the one of those CB's positions we will always be targeted in that exact spot, just watch VVD on Wednesday night.
Koch with all the time he got on the field (over 4 mins) i cant believe we hadn't a sub ready, THAT'S BAD MANAGEMENT full stop.
No way should he have been left continue after blood plissing from his head without some sort of head impact assessment been carried out by the medical team in the dressing room. 4 mins and we couldn't have a sub togged off????????????? I find that equally unbelievable......
As i say i didn't see the full game but from what i did i cant say we done enough to deserve a point if i'm honest, from where i was sitting we looked up for it the players especially in the first half ran their socks off and got stuck in but forshaw allowed poobag too much space to allow him get on the ball, but manu's front 6 yesterday are probably worth double our entire squad so we gotta be realistic in what we can achieve. Again i'm not knocking the players for effort and desire they show that EVERY GAME, but yesterday was a perfect storm (excuse the pun) regarding us trying to compete on a heavy pitch with bodies that have been running on empty since Dec/Jan and we now don't know what we are doing if a player goes down. Heard Dallas saying he played yesterday whilst carrying a knock? ok i get he dosen't want to leave the team down but playing in a side that the physical demands are set very high, playing with those small niggles turn into bigger problems if time isn't allowed to that person to rest, this could be a reason why Paddy is finding it difficult to get back upto speed. The players are going full tilt for 3 years with little rest and with a small squad that takes its toll. There are reasons why the "top" clubs in England have larger squads than other European "top" clubs their leagues only have about 8-10 tough games in their respective domestic leagues where as in England top 4 tend to run away with things but then you have about 12-14 teams that can all beat each other, with only about 2 teams, at most, at the bottom of the table that are out of their depth in the PL.
This cant be news or new to this season and LUFC Management MUST KNOW THIS, but why in Feb are we struggling? for me its down to planning and vision, fans have been saying this problem (lack of players) will catch us and no i don't agree with that we are too good to go down, the teams that relegated every year deserve to go down simple as. Had we played the season "injury free" i agree we would be well out of danger but we haven't and every day KP / PB / LC others are unavailable then our squad will be put under even more pressure. What happens if Bamford dosen't come back? or Kalvin only gets back for the last 4 games of the season but the other 10 players are completely leg weary? Will we be safe then???
We are in a dogfight (yes one we can get out of) but these next 4 games (villa added) and we only pick up 3 points if even that before we play Norwich then there is every chance that come the 13th March we could actually be in the bottom three, we certainly wont have a 5 point cushion of that im 100% certain.
For me im clinging to my dream that Norwich are gone and hopefully Watford as they must yet play all of the top 4 + Arsenal in their last 14 games, and i do honestly believe that we can finish above Brentford and if we get back to full Strength soon we can catch Palace too
Make no mistake, we're in deep shxte.
The number of goals we conceed is simply frightening.
ATM, being honest I just can't see there being 3 teams (nevermind 6) performing worse than us.
We also must not forget we took a masterclass from Everton whilst they had been very poor before and they themselves then got played of the park by Saints.
Lord Snoddy, agree with you because realistically we won't get anything from the Liverpool game (apart from another heavy defeat a la Man Shitty).
Scared to bits to defend corners and setpieces against Pool (Van Dijck, Matip & co, will have a field day), never mind conceding from open play.
On paper the Spurs game looks just a bit easier, but the pace & quality they've got upfront will probably prove too much for us.
Praying that Philips & Bamford come back ASAP and they'll need to hit the ground running too.
Unlucky Soopa.
We badly miss KP and Hatrick.
With the players and the manager we have, we’re simply too good a team to get relegated. However, with some difficult games coming up we could well end up in that dog-fight. Still, I think Brentford and Norwich will take two of the relegation spots. Hopefully Phillips can be back for the last 6-8 matches, because that could really be a decisive boost for the team. But wasn’t it said somewhere that his return was postponed from March to May? Hope not, but with the kind of luck we have…
Well st least we had something to cheer. Great atmosphere when we got back to 2 each.
It was a big decision to leave rapha out but not a massive surprise after the Villa and Everton no shows from him.
I would be tempted to play a load of youngsters v Liverpool and concentrate on trying to get something from the spurs game ( and that's from somebody that is going on wednesday).
I've just looked at the fixtures left and we have some right stinkers. Chelsea and man city left at home. Arsenal Liverpool Leicester wolves away. It could all come down to the Brentford game.
Why did we not take a concussion substitution when Koch was clearly injured?, I'm not saying .it would have changed the game, but if it's there to be used?????.
To lose was harsh, probably a draw was the least we deserved but again corners continue to be our achilles heal, do we not train for these?, I'm beginning to wonder.
Firpo was definately at fault for the 3rd goal, he looked like a man with lead weights on his ankles in trying to get back. If he isn't fit don't put him on the bench, simples!!!.
Rodrigo? WTF, apart from a cross that turned into a goal, what does he offer to the team, 1 good game in 10, shite!.
Anyway onwards and upwards to Anfield!🙄
Just seen MB post-match Sky interview. Looked really down and under strain.
Sad to see - but still showing such humility in the face of so much bad luck with key injuries.
Can't imagine any other manager on the planet not using that as an excuse - and a justified one, in this case.
Sure the Rapha situation must be stressful; seems to be stubbornly sticking to the principle that no player is bigger than the club and that if anyone doesn't want to play for us or gets too big for their boots (with Rapha's contract talks apparently stalling), then he won't play them - or will drop them to the bench to send that message.
And rightly so, in my view, if that's the reason. But who knows - maybe it really was tactical?
As to the game, we put up a valiant fight against far superior players; just ran out of steam. Felt sorry for Pascal at the end - very tired attempt to retain control. Otherwise, thought he and Dallas were immense. Latter's performance was remarkable given he was subbed off injured only last week.
Forshaw also did well but just too much to carry on his own in that holding role.
Think Cresswell has to be starting now. Don't think he'd have been giving Maguire a gentle hug before his goal like Llorente did!!
Firpo did well to win the ball for our first but otherwise seemed well off the pace. Bill pretty anonymous also.
Klich put in a shift but too slow, shooting woeful and seems to lack strength on the ball.
Getting back to 2-2 was fantastic but in truth came about completely out of the blue. No doubt that bringing on 2 of your better players in Joffy & Rapha gave us a lift. A young lad that at least can lead the line. Hopefully the people in charge have now noticed the difference to actually having a striker on the pitch.
Rodrigo with his goal was due some luck and after his goal he played well after fading out again. Firpo started on fire but was so surprised that after a good 20/25 mins he looked dead on his feet. Klich also had a fairly decent game but again one who started to fade.
Forshaw played one hell of a second half.
MB has worked miracles with this team&squad, there is no doubting this.
But he needs better & more players at his disposal.
Also can't understand that replacing Koch took so long (Firpo wasn't even ready to come on) and led to numerous changes both at the back & in midfield.
Looked a bit clueless to me.
The second goal we conceded just before ht was a direct result of it.
Relegation looks a real possibility to me!
Realistic chance of relegation. Consistently leaking goals. Having to score 3 goals just to draw against Villa highlights this. Sorry but I think this is something Bielsa should have prioritized.
2-2 more than good enough. And looking to win As Gelhardt goes close.
Biesla is god!
2-2 more than good enough. And looking to win As Gelhardt goes close.
Biesla is god!
2-0 down and simply again not good enough.
First goal this season manure have scored from a corner, having said that my pub team would score from a corner against us.
Both Llorente (watch the ball) & Meslier at fault for that one.
A lad like Cresswell would 9/10 times have gotten his head to the ball.
Bad luck with Koch getting injured, but changing the team in only 23 positions was perhaps a bit too much.
Rodrigo's the invisible man, Llorente a horror show, Ayling not much better.
Forshaw tries but hasn't got the pace or mobility to stick to their players.
Just a pity there were no better players available during the window.
Better news from our CEO → planning to expand ER is moving forward.
Raphina on the bench.
Trying a bit to stiffle us up in midfield.
One change, forshaw for raphina, bit shocked
It is very wet at Elland Road. The wind seems to have dropped a bit unfortunately but it is really tipping it down.
positive energy/vibes/blind faith time
if the premier league started 5 games ago we would be above Manure,5games 7 points for us, 6 points (1w 3d 1L) for man poo,we also outscored them 9-5 in those 5 games.dont ask about goals against!
