Tin Hat for TC10
We'll stay up even if we only accumulate another few points purely because Norwich, Bumley and Watfordscum won't pick up many points and are already relegated....
We're more than capable of picking up 5 draws, with 2 losses to Citeh and Chelscum.....that's without giving us a win in the games remaining!!
We even beat Citeh last season and Chelscum got stuffed v Brentwood last weekend.... just a shame we've left our run a tad too late for Europe.
I look forward to you all eating humble pie with your offers of wine and Pernod gratefully accepted....
Bull out....
BB out....
Soopa out....
HODDLE IN.... as director of football
I don't think we're safe either just yet.
I have 35 as the margin given the bottom teams have to face each other - can't all win, but also can't all lose. It'll be very close between Burnley, Everton and us - Watford and Norwich down.
TC10 I will eat humble pie if we stay safe. Even I am worried and think we need another 7 points to be safe!
Jeez Bull, are you and others still worried about relegation!?
Every season I get it correct when others are worried, with a few weeks to go, about getting into the championship play offs let alone winning the league with loads of points to spare....
Then they were worried about maybe even getting dragged into the relegation battle last season!!
We'll finish comfortably about 15pts clear of relegation this season. How are ALL the clubs suddenly going to win 5 games in a row after winning less than 5 all season....
You can thank me mid May when my predictions will be correct again.... Mystic Currie will reign again!
CHILLAX ALL....
Everton / Burnley is a MUST WIN for Everton.
Burnley will think they can win against Norwich and their two home games against saints and wolves to kick start their PL survival.
With manure gone from CL for another season surely the focus at old toilet must be 4th spot now, and with arsenal screwing up last night they will see the games against everton, Norwich, Brentford, Brighton & Palace as all winnable and 15 points, that will leave them with 3 games versus liverpool, arsenal & Chelsea another 3-4 points from that 9 available could see them clinch 4th especially if they beat arsenal.
Last two seasons 4th spot was 67 points in 20/21 and 66 points in 19/20, manure win the 5 mid to bottom half games and 4 points against the top 6 clubs that's 70 points and id say that must be the target right now, but could chelski implode? the two games coming up against RM could really dent their players confidence and should they lose the FA Cup SF against Palace they might go into freefall.
We have our own destiny in our hands and i for one was fearful that if our poor run of results continued last Feb. it would quickly come to a stage when we would be relying on others, thankfully we have stopped the rot but we ain't out of the woods yet. The old cliche one game at a time is what we should be focusing on Watford win that would be a fantastic result a draw wouldn't be bad, but i do think we need to clean sheet its embarrassing and not reflective of young meislier performances and heroics throughout the season but no clean sheet since 30th November is a fact that cant be ignored or go without addressing.
Everton next 5 games:
Burnley (A), Manure (H), Palace (H), Liverpool (A), Chelsea (H)
Burnley next 5 games:
Everton (H), Norwich (A), West Ham (A), Southampton (H), Wolves (H)
Watford next 5 games:
Leeds (H), Brentford (H), Citeh (A), Burnley(H), Palace (A).
Yes, we do have a few toughies, but so do the other candidates and there is a bit of in-fighting going on as well with the rest.
Well done, Mouseman. Now, bearing in mind that the Watford game is a real six-pointer, I got upset about this from LeedsLive (sorry, I know….):
“Although the Whites are still in some danger of being dragged back into the dogfight, the form of Burnley, Watford and Everton suggests it would take an almighty turn of events to see Leeds go down.“
I mean: after Watford we are playing Palace (A), City (H), Arsenal (A) and Chelsea (H). Not exactly the easiest programme, so better not lose against Watford.
I'd also be interested to see how Roberts performs as a second striker as opposed to target man or midfielder. Though we will probably have to wait until next season, given his current injury.
All the Raphinha stories seemed to have died - now that it's obvious Barcelona don't have the money.
Not a bad point at this stage of the season. Good to see we managed to keep them out from open play, we have Meslier to thank for that.
Don‘t know what the rest of you think, but Rodrigo looks to have an extra yard or two of pace at the moment when we counter. Is it my imagination or is it because he isnt having to do as much work as he did under Bielsa?
whoop whoop
Congrats Mouseman!
No onto Watford and 3 points please!
Steady point. Good to have Cooper and Kalvin back. Rodrigo picking up.
Another result Mouseman - you've almost led us to the promised land - on to Watford and another chance to pack up the relegation hoodoo. 🤗
If I was being super critical, I thought Melsier was too far to his left for free kick, having said that, it was a decent strike.
Yes, another point in the bag and another game out of the way. The pressure will be on Watford to win so they will be at it from the start. I think now that we have Phillips and Cooper back that we should be able to pick them off on the counter.
Pretty fair result and another important point.
Good to see Kalvin back, Coops did well (no nonsense and some vital interventions). Very important game at Watford coming up, we need to keep that distance between us and not give them belief.
Set pieces causing us all sorts of problems.
Vital we get something from this game.
Need to regain control.
We look so much better defensively with Cooper back in the team. And Llorente looks much more comfortable alongside him. Everybody had a good first half, not often you say that.
Get in Harrison, he’s been threatening all game.
Team announced. No Phillips, no Gelhardt, but the captain's back.
James Rodrigo
Harrison Forshaw Klich Raphinha
Dallas Cooper Llorente Ayling
Meslier
Subs: Klaesson, Struijk, Cresswell, Koch, Kenneh, , Summerville, Grenwood, Gelhardt
