So after a thrilling 2-2 draw we welcome the red half of Manchester to Leeds
i expect the same coaching team on the sidelines
and hope the guys are not going to be tired out
a few had to be subbed of due to injury’s and just hope it’s not long turn
Manchester will come out of the blocks so as not to have to play catch up like the last game
and it will not be the walk in the park for our guys
same starting line up ?
Unlucky Steve. 1 point from the 2 Manure games is 1 point more than I hoped.
Well that was crap short n sweet like me
Waking up this morning still a bit gutted that we didn't get at least a point yesterday, but unfortunately that's the way the cookie crumbles in sport, we had chances, plenty of them, but didn't take take them they had substantially less opportunities but their quality up top was the ultimate difference hence the result.
Overall the players / squad can take alot of positives from the last two games in my opinion, we stood toe to toe against a team chasing the title and that are a shoe in to be in the CL next season so i hope the players focus on those crumbs of comfort going forward into the next two games which lets call a spade a spade are the real 6 points we should be looking for.
Last week if we were honest most would have been dreading Wednesday night but we managed a draw, yesterday most would have expected manure to come to ER with a different plan and one that would show the gap between the two sides as the table suggests. But nothing could have been further from the truth, we were far from over run, we held our own, we threatened more than what they did, David De Gea was far more busier than Illan Meslier, however sadly like most of our recent performances the result / points on the board doesn't match the effort on the pitch.
Stay positive lads we just need that first win and like the buses a second will arrive in double quick time.

For me, a few things have stood out over the last couple of games. Kock & Wober appear to have a decent understanding at the heart of the defence, which probably goes down to Wober as the stabilising force.
In midfield, Adams and McKennie are proving to be a powerhouse and definately not scared to show the opposition that they are there. Perhaps slightly over eager in some of the tackles but I absolutely prefer McKennie to Roca.
Finally and potentially the most impact on the side, Jesse's decision to play Rodney against Accrington when we were 3 up. The result was 2 months out,. With Bambi mis-firing and our "star" signing still getting fit, an inform Rodney would surely have us taking potentially 4 points against Manure.
not a bad performance,we were the slightly better team for 80 mins.
the ref & var were poor today, I thought we should have had a penalty in 1st few mins when the scum defender took out Summerville after he shot.didnt see a decent replay of Maguires handball.Sabizer should have got at least a yellow for one of his mistimed tackles. ..
We huffed and puffed and was a good overall performance which could have resulted in a victory for us.... at the end of the day we've taken only 1pt out of the 2 games v Mancscum and relying on a Liverpool win tomorrow.
Summerville was a threat but his end product was shocking today. Nobody had an outstanding game for us and we were devoid of a bit of magic like Raphinha gave us.... Gnonto was anonymous overall and someone else has to provide the magic moment.
Thought Harry Maguire was our best player today attempting crossfield diagonals and passing straight to us on a few occasions ....
I may be being a bit harsh but so far our most expensive striker looks nothing of the sort. My mum, who is 93 can move faster then him! Just seems to run around like a headless chicken.
Hard luck Steve.
I would still have taken 1 point from the last 2 fixtures under just about any manager!
Plenty of hard work, and effort and some good opportunities, but final shot or pass in the final third letting us down. Said that a few times before this season.
Just need our resident crap weather forecaster to appear and blame Jesse Marsch for the loss, or the weather, or the crap chips...... 😉
Decent first half from us. We came out of the blocks firing, all the players looked up for it and put in a few reducers to let scum know they are in a match.
Adams and McKennie in midfield were solid and at the forefront of closing down and hitting them hard in the tackle.
Summerville has looked very lively and was unlucky not to score early doors.
We’ve limited them to very few chances, the best of which we gifted them with some sloppy play by Wober
More than happy with the first half, lets hope it continues.
Skubala in.
Saw some small footage of training when there was a meet & greet with a Leeds fan (organised by the make a wish foundation) and there was no sign of Gnonto at all. His absence would be huge.
By the that meet & greet was very touching, and I have to say, we can be proud of our club & players. It was so genuine, top top blokes.
Well I’m on the way to LEEDS
train got
canceled luckily saw it was
in time to get an even earlier one
so sitting at Peterborough because the guards would not let me get a big intercity other than the one I had booked
I never thought I'd say this but we have to play Firpo today.... if only to keep Wober at CB alongside Koch!
It's the only time we look sort of safe at the back....
Bollox to a draw!....'The Mighty Whites' will emerge victorious with a stunning 3-2 victory, in a game that will see 'Manure' reduced to 10 men, after constantly fowling Willy, due to them not being able to cope with his sublime skills!
Goal scorers will be Willy (obviously) x 2 and Harrison with the 3rd.
I am going to a local pub to watch with some fellow Leeds fans and we've invited some (friendly) 'Scum' supporters to join us too, for the banter and to get the atmosphere going!
Cummmmmmmmonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn You 'Mighty Fookin' Whites'....And Mouseman!😀💛💙
It will be interesting to see how much energy there is left in Ayling's legs. Towards the end on Wednesday he was practically out of it with the ground he was covering. I think Ten Hag will want to prove a point today so I'm predicting a horrible day at the office. If we can steal a draw that would be great!.
A big test for our players today: can they repeat the performance from Wednesday? Another draw would be a good result, and give us the confidence we need for the crucial matches that are coming up. Obviously hoping for a win today, and hope we team up something like this - MOT:
Meslier
Ayling, Cooper, Koch, Wober
Adams, McKennie
Gnonto, Aaronsson, Summerville
Rutter
Best of luck sir.
I'd absolutely love to see another Mouseman MDT after the FA Cup - any kind of result would be great.
Quality MDT Mouseman and good luck for a prolonged run....
I remember going to this fixture last season and the ground was absolutely rocking.... I was stood in the Cheese Wedge right on the very back row with nobody behind me and was still sent tumbling over the seats somehow!
I think Firpo may start and Summerville will come in for Sinesterra if not fit.
I'd like Nutter to replace Hattrick purely because his pace and movement will keep us at a high tempo closing them down and running the channels helping out Gnonto and Summerville....
I'd like Nutter to play ALONGSIDE Hattrick in an old fashioned 4-4-2 but that probably won't happen....
I'm going for a positive 1-0 victory with Mackenzie notching with his belly....
I suppose we'd obviously take a draw but we KNOW we can beat them now.... we can't beat the bottom teams either!
Come on Leeds and make us proud again.... MOT
Good luck Steve old bean.
We need to make ER as hostile as possible for this, really spook them. 2pm on a Sunday doesn't help that though, I'm sick to death of playing at that time.thankfully a few 3pm Saturdays coming up.
3-2 to us
Come on Leeds
Fingers crossed mouseman, fair play for ensuring a point for your efforts.
We got off to a flying start and tbf started both halves extremely well and set us up. unfortunately we couldn't hold out for the win especially after being 2 up but look they have lots of quality and i think going in at 1-0 was a major boost.
Credit to the players and temp management staff we played with lots of desire, intent, and some good passages of play which kept the red filth a bay for long periods.
I though Bill was outstanding (all over the place) and when sancho breezed passed him in the 82nd minute i thought our goose was cooked. I just hope our players get a good recovery into their legs as Sunday they will hell bent on winning the 3 points.
TBH im flabbergasted when watching our games / performances and then i look at the table i cant believe where we are, we've play well in many games but unfortunately we dont always get the full compliant of points that our efforts on the pitch turn into.
Last year on the 31st Jan we had 21 games played (22 points) but with a GD of -16 only scored 24 goals in those 21 games and shipped 40
This season (after last night) 21 games played only have 19 points but have a GD of -8 scoring 28 and conceding 36. For me Marcelo had his way of playing and that was never going to be compromised, but we've looked way better this season and the new signings are showing glimpses of real quality (gosh i love Big Willy, what a bargain Orta bagged there). Point being we shouldn't lose hope i feel with the players and squad now we are a better team than this time last year. Last year i couldnt see us wining 2 in a row at any stage, depending on games i think this team could go 4-5 unbeaten.
The major positive for us is that -8 hope it dosent come down to that in May (as i think we will turn things around with a few wins) but that -8 is worth a point on the last day no matter what any pundit will say.
