Well who would have thought, Bull on his 6th MDT my longest run in the MDT chair and by jezzz what a ride, from breaking the hoodoo of losses and poor results in London, to beating Champions elect Chite on their own patch WITH 10 MEN, to grabbing a point last night over the current PL Champions its been fantastic and some truly wonderful performances along the way. But now our bitterest of rivals up next the FILTH at ER next Sunday at 2pm (i'm thinking about having the dinner around 9 in the morning so i wouldn't be drinking copious amounts of cider on an empty stomach)
Leeds V Manure - THE STATS
Sunday's fixture will be the 109th game between these two Clubs Leeds won 26, manu won 47 and there have been 35 draws to date.
In the PL leeds v manu have played 26 times with leeds only winning 5 of these losing 14 & there have been 7 draws.
In those 26 games since the 6th of September 1992, leeds have scored just 20 goals and conceded 40 so once again we find ourselves on the wrong side of the recent results and the less said about the most recent PL game the better, that horrific result a few days before Christmas last December wont be recorded here.
At Elland Road the last time manu won in the PL was October 2003, when roy keane scored in the 1 nil defeat. The last draw at ER was March 2001 (1-1) and the last time Leeds won against manure at ER was 14th September 2002 when Harry "the jew" Kewell scored. Its was manu's worst start to a season in the Premiership. David Beckhams challenge on Lee Bowyer was awful (but nothing done about it) & Fabian Barthez was under a police investigation for kicking his water bottle into the crowd and injuring a Leeds fan.
This season some comparison stats
Leeds ManU
Goals for 50 64

Yellow Cards 49 56
Red Cards 1 1
We all know this is the big one for us and to blank out that December defeat we need all 3points but look if we do manage a draw i for one wont complain.
Didn't hear any update on llorinte's leg injury from last night, it looked nasty and struggled to walk off the pitch after the game, don't tell me Salah didn't know where he was planting his leg, but once again nothing done about it cause he plays for one of the Super 6. But we will certainly need llorinte on Sunday as Coops will still be suspended after winning a tackle in the City game again another super 6 team so we obviously were wrong in winning a tackle and deserved to be punished!!!!
Will manu have one eye on the Roma SF in the Europa League will they feel 2nd spot is secure? If Man City lose tomorrow night to Villa manu could close the gap to just 5 points with a win on Sunday, if City win tomorrow night the gap between the top 2 stretches out to 11 points and will manure feel deflated but secure that they have a decent cushion on 3rd spot Leicester so may switch focus to the Italians?? All ifs buts and maybes but something im sure crosses the players minds but wont publicly admit it.
Too early to make any team selection, if everyone fit, id select same team as last night but starting rapha instead of costa.

Have a feeling MB wont want another beating like what he took over in Old Toilet and much like what he did last night against Pool will set up that little bit differently, i also think we should fly into a few tackles early on to really find out if the manu players are really up for the fight.
I'm going 2-2
Paddy & Dallas Greenwood & Macguire from a corner for them
Think we will see a red card too (hopefully one of theirs)
Even the SCUM's Boardroom use pie charts
Onwards and upwards lads

Really poor game but tbf that 6-2 drubbing in December must have been playing on Marcelo's mind for months and i reckon he gave those players another chance to put things right. Had Rapha been available we would definitely created more opportunities and possibly would /could have won the game. Yesterdays game and the liverpool game proves the value of Rapha to me, and to get a point against both of those multi-million pound squads is again another example of how far we have come in a short period of time.
I think Jack is burnt out and id like to see Poveda given a run (maybe rest of the season) to help him improve and progress now that we are safe and the "big" games are over. I 100% would take Costa out of the equation and try and blood a couple of the U23's as for Roberts he has improved especially since Christmas and ok yesterday he wasn't as influential but we gotta remember we were playing against a different quality of player, players that are established internationals, still in the hunt for a European Trophy, and ones that sit comfortably in second place in the PL, so lets take everything into account before we start writing some of the squad off.
While Kalvin was Kalvin i thought Pascal was really good yesterday, llorente read the game well but sometimes when i see him lunging in i dread the outcome, but Pascal was rock solid all day.
Still cant understand how luke shaw's hand ball wasnt given
not alone were we cheated out of that one the Bull's chance of beating the filth was served a blow by that pr*ck of a ref for most of the Day too. Some serious grass stains on the scum players gear for the laundry lady this morning, what a shower of cheating cnuts
Justice for Bull
VAR OUT
I don't put Roberts and Costa in the same bracket - Costa is mid 20's and has had enough time to get it - he hasn't.
Roberts is a lot younger and is showing promising signs in recent matches - he can have more time for me.
Agree with Glory, surely it’s time for some of the U23’s to be given a chance.
Sorry Bri, Costa and Roberts have had enough time to prove themselves and we need an upgrade on both, U23’s or new blood.
I don’t want European football next season, it’s too early in our development and a major distraction. Wolves and Burnley struggled when they snuck into the Europa League, their squads not big or good enough to take on the extra work load. With one or two key injuries we struggle now. Without the U23’s being up to speed in the first team an extra competition would be madness.
Alioski, Roberts and Costa could not play the offensive way they wanted because they did not neglect their defensive duties.
Alioski will be gone in the summer. I wish him well WHEREVER he goes. Always gives 100% for the famous white shirt.
Robert and Costa, well before MB came in, many on here would have snapped of any club paying us £1 million for KP, £500k for Dallas, £500k for Cooper and £750k for Luke.
Both Costa and Roberts have the potential to be the same invaluable players as those but need another preseason with MB.
Diego and Pascal were immense today. I cannot see how Coops can come back in after their display.
KP, amazing today! Truly England's best DCM.
If Rafa was there and fit, we would have beaten this lot.
Now, I just hope VO brings in proper class players this summer - LB, Winger, No 10, No4/No8 and striker.
It’s true that this wasn’t a good, entertaining game of football. But...it was a ‘mature’ performance, and Bielsa has shown his critics that he can get results, and not only play ‘naive’ attacking football. I think that mattered to Bielsa, and that’s why he didn’t play Greenwood, probably. It could have been slightly different with Raphinha. Still, a point against Manure, currently the strongest in the division, is not bad at all. About Klich - I think he looked more like the player we used to know, and I hope he stays. Alioski, Costa and Roberts maybe not needed...
Llorente and Strujik were immense and surely Coops can't come straight back in for Strujik!?
When you think we're playing with Alioski, Roberts, Costa and Klich how are we 9th!! Not putting them down after what they have done for us but it's just too much of a step up for them to reach the next stage for us....
Agree with 1972 that we have to play the likes of Geldhart, Greenwood and Summerville or how are we going to know!?
Thought Dallas was off his game today but that is not a problem for him with his unbelievable consistency.... he no doubt did loads of work off camera without us knowing.
Well done Bielsa 👏👏👏👏.... now play some of the u23s before you get replaced by Hoddle.
5 games to go, not 4, and already 1 point better than the Blunts last season...... 😋
I do agree with you though - Harrison, Roberts and Custard in particular didn't have great games. I wonder how much of that was a cancelling out of styles though? Scum fans have been equally critical of their team today.
The real question is who does Bielsa play against the "lesser lights" coming up? Brighton, WBA, Soton and Burnley - if we have a mathematical chance of Europa League does he go for broke, or use the safety of mid table to experiment?
I guess we should all be happy with a point gained and the unbeaten run continuing, but I have to say that was one of the worst games of football I've seen for a very long time. The amount of wayward passing was ridiculous and I mean from both sides, not to mention the ineptitude in the final third.
I just don't get it. We have mathematically secured our Premiership status, we have 2 great young guns in the squad but what do we do?, put Custard back into the team who proves once more that he is a complete waste of good skin, in addition Roberts was also back to usual self and although it pains me to say it, Harrison was terrible.
Am I being mean?, well probably and some might see a point against Man Utd as good and therefore why risk it with bringing on youngsters. The way I see it is that once the point was secured from Monday, that should have been the green light to get them on, play without any real pressure and get them gelled into first team football. The likes of Custard (hopefully) Alioski & Klich are probably not going to be here next season, so why continue playing them. Unless you start trusting the U23's that are ready to go, what's the bloody point in buying them and investing all the time and effort.
It's not really a rant and I would have laughed if anyone told me we would be in 9th position with 4 games to go, so happy days but I am frustrated with the Master's continued loyalty to some deadwood.
PS - Meslier.
Youngest keeper ever to get 10 clean sheets in the Premier League. Second Place Joe Hart, Third Place David De Gea.
And to think there were those on here who thought he was a bit young.... 😆😈
He is joining Raphinha and Phillips in the "almost too good for us" category. Llorente is starting to show signs he'll join that club and next season Struijk will be there too.
If we sign another 6 truly quality players we'll win the league :-)
Fantastic basis for next season.
Keep Raphinha, add a couple and go for the top six.
Spurs are pants, West Ham are having a one off so we can make the jump.
We need to keep Bielsa.
I think it's been an insane run! Even under O'Leary I struggle to remember a time we were unbeaten against the top sides at home like this season.
Bull - legendary status awaits - Europa League not yet out of reach with 5 to play - sounds mad!
Well Done Bull!! You are three quarters of the way to being a legend!
Wins x Brighton and Spuds needed for you to be on a par with the iceman!
Its sh-te without the fans, everyone is too nice. Well played though Leeds( in defence).
Very good, Leeds. We’re a difficult side to beat!
Llorente and Struijk are developing a very good partnership and understanding.
Phillips probably was the best player on the field. Ayling strong, too.
Include Raphinha and a proper left back, and we’re also to be found in the upper half of the table next season.
This season has been fantastic, and Bielsa is of course the main factor. Really, really hope that he stays.
Well done Bull and quality run of form.... the only downside to this is having to read another of your MDT's! 😉😲😂👍
Same team, summerville and greenwood on bench, hope costa does a bit better this
Starting to get giddy now - pysched up. That's a bad sign - we usually do better when I'm more relaxed about a game.
Nevermind, maybe we'll turn a good season into a great one by drawing blood from the selfish six again....
CMON LEEEEEDDS!!!!!
