I can't quite believe how I'm still doing the MDT with us unbeaten but in disarray.... I feel like a fraud and this is akin to Lord Sunnytits and how he must feel with his crap inaccurate weather forecasts.
If Aaronson had scored in the last second v Pompey we'd have had a great start to the season and not been so downbeat....
Sheffield is famous for:

Early Arctic Monkeys
I've had no sexual encounters in Sheffield, unless you count rubbing and touching legs with an old lady for 6hrs whilst watching snooker in the cramped Crucible Theatre....
I remember in our Division 1 title winning season (?) playing Wednesday away live on Sky and we won 4-0(?) with a Viduka header and quality outside of the foot strike by mercenary Kewell in an unbelievable performance....
I'm going for a positive 3-2 victory with a Joseph brace and Rowe coming off the bench to notch....
I was actually asked about my availability to run a football club in Sheffield.... I said I'm available all week but I can't manage Wednesday (Thanks Tim Vine)
Only got to watch the highlights and 15 mins of the 2nd half as I was working but looked like a good performance.
BA & James took their goals well, that ball from Matteo for James goal 👌.
Hope MJ gets a goal soon as his play deserves it,great hold up play and 2 nice assists and is getting in good goalscoring positions.
Wednesday were the inform team at the end of last season so don't think they're as crap as people are saying. Great away win
Slight improvement!?
We were fkn excellent and as crap as we were against Boro, we were the opposite of that on Friday.
We totally dominated in all areas of the pitch.... both with and without the ball and our passing was quick and accurate.
Some fans are hard to please.... surely credit where it's due?
Viduka was a quality striker for us but don't think Piroe can mirror his game on him when Farke plays him in a totally different position....
Agreed Daniel but do feel that the improvement was a bit more notable than just slight.
We kept the ball better and passed it around quicker & with more purpose → looking to get forward.
Biggest difference with the WBA game was the pace and running with and without the ball, people made themselves available.
Mind you it took us a while to really get going and in general Wednesday probably were not as good/strong as WBA.
Just got to watch a replay...
We were abit neater with our passing.
We did not have as much of a gap between our defence, midfield and forwards during the press which made it more effective.
Slight improvement in all areas.
We continue our undefeated run..
On a side note. Someone find all the tapes on Lee Bowyer playing for us and sit Aarronson down and make him study the style as we can groom into something similar. Think you could do the same for Piroe with Viduka tape (not even in his class but at least could delevep similar style)
Good win and a better game
Onwards and upwards
Excellent collective performance all round, particularly pleased for Aaronson. No doubt there will still be a section of fans who will continue to give him a hard time, but he is trying his best to win them around and could prove that elusive missing link as a proper number 10.
In fairness, Joseph should have scored which would have capped off a very good performance, his through ball for Dan was sublime.
As for Dan himself, another great performance. Took his goal very well and his pace is a valuable weapon for us. I also agree that his defensive efforts are worth applauding as well.
Thought Bogle had a shaky start, but then grew into the game with some good defending and also joining up with the attack.
Little Willy, well I guess we all need to remember that he is still very young and subject to the odd petulant moment every now and then, but he worked his socks off and like DJ put in a good defensive shift.
My MOTM was Pascal. 3rd competitive game after a long layoff and he didn't miss a thing at the back and looks to be forming a very good partnership with Rodon (I will be the first to admit that I thought splitting Rodon and Ampudu would be a disaster, however not the case).
Ampudu and Greuv looked solid as a midfield duo, although my only criticism is that I wish Greuv would pass the ball with more pace.
To be fair, the Wendies were a very poor side and we probably should have won the game even more comfortably than we did. I expect us now to kick on and put Hull to the sword next week.
Nice one TC. See if you can go all season please.
Enjoyable night that, not a bad atmosphere but by hell we have some odd ball fans. 60yr old blokes arguing from our end with 3 what looked like 10tr old wendies fans, doing all sorts of gross hand gestures to them. Where else in the world would you get 60yr old doing blow job gestures to kids in front of coppers and nowt gets said. All very sad. 10 Yr old lad with his mum in our end singing the dave Jones is a p............ chant, what is the world coming to.
Anyhow, we controlled that game, they look rubbish especially at the back.
4pts from 2 tricky aways is not bad. Just need those signings this week and will be well.
And James pace and controlled dink for the goal.... he never had many goals in him a couple of seasons ago and really goes under the radar. His workrate in helping out his RB is quality....
Rodon hardly touched the ball and was a mark of how we stopped their attacks before they got past our midfield....
VERY impressed and our press was unbelievable and we had 2/3 players closing them down EVERY time they had the ball....
When Bamford doesn't get any chances he's fkn awful. Joseph showed today how to lead the line PROPERLY.... although should have scored!
Don't think Gnonto went past his man once but had a great game coming inside and his workrate was excellent. Bogle had a great game defensively and even Firpo looks good.... although nobody really ran at him.
Gruev was quality and everywhere and didn't just hold.... Ampadu was quality next to him.
Aaronson took his chance well after starting from the RB position and bust a gut to get on the end of it. It fell luckily for him and he made lots of other runs like that which didn't fall for him.... only takes once to keep carrying on those runs and he was rewarded.
Just excellent all round and 69ers have got to back us in the next week....
👍⚽👏🎉
Well done, TC, and well done Leeds. Wednesday are crap, though, and we got our goals at the exact right times of the match. Joseph is good, and Aronsson could be become good, too. Gruev a crucial player for us. We’re undefeated in the league!
I would even argue, job well done!
Good performance all over.
Joseph very impressive (just lacking that goal), Gnonto bar the theatrics (early on) also in my view also did well. Can't say anyone underperformed.
Obviously we still need to bring in several quality players.
Job done - and in the right way - back on course.
TC10 - well done sir.
Well done Aaronson. Took his time and put that away well.
Gnonto…. what does he offer? Think we should take any money we can get and let him go. I’m afraid that smile and lying on the floor doesn’t do it for me
Aaronson in his proper position and just hope he has a good game.... fickle fans will be straight onto him after ONE game if he doesn't!
Great starting X1 but weak bench with 2 keepers and youngsters....
Not a shock that Wober not in the squad with a fakey injury a week before transfer deadline.... 🖕🥊🤬🤔
First 11 look decent, but the bench/squad is so thin.
Wöber and Bamford injured (latter fell of a bike), 2 goalies and 3 youngster on the bench.
Third league game in and we've hardly got enough players to fill our bench.
Hopefully we can get something from this game and then is up to the 49RS to act on their word.
Aarneson for piroe, Bamford injured
Feels like a much bigger game than you'd expect at the start of a season.
Lets see if the older existing squad members up their game to fight for their places, or just give up - I'm looking at you Gnonto, Bamford, Meslier, Firpo etc.
The new core of players who came in (or signed a new deal) after the 49ers took over - Bogle, Gruev, Ampadu, Rodon, Byram, Joseph. Is this a new chapter or more misery?
New signings will be coming in/are already coming in.
We need this result - is it very very early to be having to say that?
Come on Leeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1-1
Not sure how many of our squad have been involved in a full on Yorkshire derby, so could be a baptism of fire for some. The Wendies will be out for blood especially after their mauling at the hands of Sunderland last weekend. The first 20 are going to like the Alamo, so discipline at the back will be key, having said all that, I fancy us to nick it by a single goal. TC's march to the title continues!!.
