I think the horizontal centrifugal pump are in trouble and i know its early stages in the season but fork me the ceramic heat exchangers are doomed🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
To be honest it is going to be very tight. With 6 weeks off in the middle of the season teams will have time to adjust and basically have a second preseason (the reason why i think Forest were happy to bring in so many). Come seasons end it will be basically 1 to 3 wins difference from 8th to last. Think it may come down to draws and goal difference.
bournmouth I think will go down, the other 2 spots will go down to who has bad luck with injuries.
if Leicester lose Vardy or Maddison they will struggle same with Brentford & Toney,Southampton & ward prowse,Fulham & Mitrovic,if we have a season with injuries like last season we will be in the mix as well.Everton & Villa could be in the mix as well if they get injuries...
It depends on if Everton sign anyone good before the window shuts. They have a few long term injuries now.
Villa have lost their £26million new CB for at least 6 months, a few more injuries there would hurt them.
Saints are in turmoil with rumours of dressing room unrest over RH
Bournemouth might be a good shout for relegation. Parker did not seem to be able to handle the pressure last time with Fulham and they have not added many. Again injuries to key players would hurt them.
Forest and Fulham have good managers and have/will spend well this window. Cannot see either going down. Squads are too good and big enough to cover for injuries.
Manure - one can only hope but if they are failing they will spend big in Jan ala Newcastle.
Wolves and Foxes may surprise if they lose key players this window then suffer injuries.
So the key here is INJURIES! This will dictate who goes down
So much SKY focus on manure and then the usual top 4 battle - they are missing the relegation scrap which could be epic this year with all 3 promoted sides up and running.
Watched Everton/Chelski and im 100% convinced that Chelski didnt try a leg.
They had 75% possession of the ball in the first half one shot (feeble) and never once threatened pickford. Werner was nowhere, chelsea waltzed through the everton press and midfield and once they got into the final third they just stopped playing. Almost as if they were told "dont give away any of our training ground moves save those moves/plays until the FA Cup Final"
Chelsea knew everton were utter sh1t€ and handed them a goal, they done nothing in the first half of note. Of all players to make the "mistake" one on one at the 18 yard box, no covering defender, in my eyes Everton's goal was set up, God knows what chelsea would have done if Richardson would have missed couldn't have been anymore blatant in my book.
Granted Pickford made a brilliant double save and again done well to get down to his right hand side in the second half but apart from those 3 saves he could have joined the fans in the stands setting off blue flares as Chelsea's attack was putrid despite their midfielders handing them the ball on a plate all game.
Hopefully Chelsea beat wolves on Saturday (at stamford bridge) they will need the 3 points as arsenal despite having a difficult run in haven't gone away and neither have spurs. the north London derby will decide one of the top 4 places spurs win that they will win their last two games against burnley & Norwich which will suit us.
Even before last weekends results i felt our best chance to stay up is to overtake Burnley.
Burnley last 4 games Villa twice, Spurs & Newcastle
I said it to a few mates on Sunday morning i had a suspicion that Chelsea would roll over and that we should jump on the 4/1 odds paddy power was offering for an everton win.
Looking at Slippy G he would have no love for the blue side of his home city so he might rotate some of his squad and if Burnley take 4 points off them in their two games, that should be enough to keep Burnley ahead of Everton he might think, but that would be a death nail for us if Burnley are handed 4 points off villa, because we MUST better whatever result they have.
Before Sunday's game i was saying everton dont really matter its what Burnley do will decide who is in the Championship and who are in the premier league next year, after hearing about Dallas gone for the season now the 5 points i did think were realistically achievable, now im not so sure tbh, Dallas will be a massive loss and no matter who takes his place our team will be weakened in my view. I thought (pre Dallas injury) Chelsea (1) Arsenal (0) , Brighton (3) and Brentford (1) away on the last day adding 5 points and finishing on 39 points which i said we would very unfortunate to be relegated on that tally.
If Chelsea drop points against wolves then as true as night follows day chelsea will beat us, because they will have to as Spurs and Arsenal will be right on their tails.
If every team plays to their best and plays their first team then realistically Burnley should only manage 1 more point (draw at home with villa), Spurs should destroy them if they have any bottle and Newcastle should beat them too if they havent already jumped on a plane for the sun tan.
Everton can beat watford, and Palace and manage at least a draw against Brentford that's 7 points at minimum, that's them on 39 points with a far better GD than us and that's why i believe Burnley are our only chance of finishing above.
Its going down to the wire
Brentford / Leeds
Burnley / Newcastle
Last game of the season sky will have it pumped up to the last hope they have the vision to give Chris Kamara the reporting Job on our game
Brighton have won 8 out of the last 9 meetings with Leeds and Leeds have only beaten Brentford 3 times in the last 15 games they have played, so if we are banking on getting something out of these games to keep us up, I think the trap door will be wide open.
Everton have shown us what we need to do. We could roll over and wait for the last two games ...... or ....... we could take the game to Chelsea and Arsenal - both are beatable. A win against either should take us to safety. It's all in our own hands.
Just seen the highlights of the Everton Chelsea game. Pickford made about 3 really good saves to take the points. It might make it easier to accept by believing Chelsea rolled over for Everton, sadly I don’t think it’s true.
In May 2003 Leeds were in deep relegation trouble facing Arsenal away in the penultimate game of the 2002 - 03 season. Arsenal were defending champions and on course to top the table again. Leeds were in deep trouble both financially and points wise. Fantastic goals from Kewell, Harte and Viduka secured a 3 - 2 victory and saved us that year from relegation. Here's hoping for another relegation saving victory over the Arsenal nexr Sunday.
Our goal difference is the most worrying aspect for our survival. Only Norwich and Watford have a worst goal difference and they are toast ! Yesterday's result was never really in doubt and the next two games are likely to end the same. Optimistically 4 points from our last 4 games would mean Everton would need 9 from their last 6 and Burnley just need to match us to stayahead of us. However. if we only manage 2 points then Everton would only need 7; not impossible. I heard it again yesterday that it is the hope that kills you in the end.
Belgian, I share your worries. Probably, this will go to the very last game. And we may need 6 points in the two last against Brighton and Brentford. However, it should still be in our own hands. MOT
I checked this morning as we were 5/1 yesterday before playing Palace and despite picking up that point look at the odds
Norwich 1/200
Watford 1/200
Everton 10/11
Burnley 6/4
Leeds 7/2
with villa @ 100/1
Like WTF how is that possible? are the bookies trying to sow panic amoungst leeds fans? 5 games left to play 5 points clear of 18th spot, 11 points from the last 15 available. I know we have city, chelsea & arsenal in our next 3 games.
City have 11 points from last 5 games (same as LUFC)
Chelsea have 9
Arsenal have 6
Granted City must keep winning to keep liverpool at bay but on Saturday City will know how liverpool got on against barcodes in the early KO, so maybe their heads might not be 100% especially "if" liverpool drop points in St. James Park. I know i might be clutching at straws but City playing tonight against Real Madrid and again next Wednesday, pep might not go with his first xi and if we can be disciplined at the back, no silly free kicks, strong in the tackle all over the field and generally being a pain in the @$$, we could frustrate them. My thinking all along is Pep must win the CL and that's his priority so for me city lose 1 nil tonight and liverpool drawing at Newcastle Pep will change his team. Yes still lots of quality but i cant see him risking any possible injury with his main players.
Likewise when we play arsenal our game is sandwiched right between wet spam and spuds so those two games will decide "if" arsenal will grab that all important 4th CL spot.
And Chelsea have the FA Cup Final 3 days after playing us in ER on the Wednesday night so again i'm banking on TT resting his key players for our fixture.
I think all things considered with the remaining fixtures we must play things have fallen well for us, times, other teams big games at those times, i'm hopeful we can get something out of one of them and as i've said earlier i think a point against Chelsea isn't beyond us especially at a packed ER
The thing to bear in mind Bull is that the odds don't reflect the chances of an event happening, they reflect the amount of money that the bookies have received on any given outcome.
If there has been some money put on Leeds to be relegated they'll shorten the odds to dissuade more bets - equally if nobody is backing Burnley to drop they lengthen the odds to attract customers.
In the end the bookies want the odds in such a way that whatever the outcome they win a set %.
To beat the bookie is a myth - you're trying to beat the other punters.
must win game(again) v palace with 3 tough games coming after.
both Burney and Everton play Watford before we play Brighton,Everton play Chelsea and Leicester and Bumley play villa all before we play Brighton.we could go into last 2 games needing wins.
I have a sneaky feeling we will pick up points against either City,Arsenal or Chelscum..

We’ve got quite difficult games coming up, so it’s so extremely important to get at least one point against Palace… I certainly do not wish for that terrible defeat at Everton to come back to haunt us. Come on Leeds, come on Jesse - please give us a win tomorrow!
Well Burnley got the points against Wolves, who despite the 'prettier' football only had one shot, straight at Pope. The Clarets could well sneak out of the bottom 3!
It does show the merit of getting rid of Dyche, as the short term impetus of a new leader is clearly having an affect.
Burnleys win last night gives them renewed hope that they can survive. They have 6 games left, and you cant say that any of their 6 games that are left are losses. Wolves are in different form, Watford Away will be a right 6 pointer, Villa twice, Spurs and Barcodes last game of the season. I think they can still win 7-8 points from those fixtures 35-36 points.
Everton as we all know have a tough run in having to play 3 of the top 5 teams and in those 7 games left only 3 are at home, they certainly wont want to travel to arsenal on the last game of the season looking for a point or worse a win. However with Leicester, watford, brentford and palace to play after liverpool and chelsea i still think they can get 8 points from their remaining games vaulting them to 37 points.
Which leaves us currently on 33 points. We definitely need 4 if not 5 points at minimum imho and with Palace, Brighton and Brentford still to play i firmly believe that's achievable.
Yesterday we were 10/1 with the bookies to go down but after Burnley picking up 3 points last night we are now 7/1 to be relegated in your local PP shop.
Norwich 1/200
Watford 1/80
Burnley 8/13
Everton 6/4
Leeds 7/1
What i don't understand is if leeds are considered to be candidates to be relegated why aren't Villa in the picture?
ok they have 36 points and 7 games left but drill down they are away to Leicester tomorrow then they play a must win game for Norwich the following week, play Burnley twice, and must also play the top two City & Liverpool. Also bear in mind that when looking at the bottom seven teams Villa and Watford have the worst form with only 3 points from the last 15, If everton have to get something out of Arsenal on the 22nd May imagine if Villa had to get something out the last game - City !!!!!!!
Saying that i do think Villa will take at least 2 and maybe 4 points off Burnley so those 2 games will decide Burnley's season, but hasn't Slippy G gone off the radar very quickly....
Back to watching Jeff from behind the sofa again tomorrow😂
I think the bottom three teams are toast. Nobody with 36 pts has been relegated in years and we already have 33. Everton should also have enough games in hand and class to survive.
Well after the week just gone have you changed your mind on the bottom three?
I thought Brentford would struggle but that win against Chelsea was massive for them and then to follow that up by taking all 3 points against west ham has them save for another year id say.
Cresswell didnt get a run out but Joffy scoring that last minute winner yesterday gives us a fighting chance to survive. Had we dropped any points especially after all the chances we created it would have been demoralizing and one i couldnt see us getting over, plus it would have given Burnley and watford a lift despite Burnley losing to Brentford.
Brentford winning two on the trot now gives them more than a 50-50 chance to survive at this stage especially when you see everton's remaining fixtures, but Brentford are still there for the catching as they have only got 2 teams (Leicester and Southampton) that have nothing to play for from their remaining 9 games.
Leeds have Palace, Southampton, Brighton and you could argue wolves 4 teams that are really in the dreaded no mans land safe from relegation but wont make Europe. Its a pity we havent Saints on Friday and play wolves after the international break but look after yesterdays win our lads should be chomping at the bit to get back out there and experience another 3 point winning rush.
Eventhough Everton still have 12 league games to play (and still in the FA Cup) they must face the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manure and west ham (might still fancy 5th spot for Europe) Not too many points in those fixtures you would have thought for Lumpturd. Plus toffees play barcodes next who were in great form apart from losing to Chelsea yesterday (last minute as well). Are everton safe? are they too big to go down??
I still think the teams in 15th, 16th & 17th still have plenty of work to do and will need more points (with our -GD) we may need an extra point to stay out of the dreaded 18th spot.
But yesterdays fight back and the elation of the players was evident to see our players care and are fighting to stay up i just hope JM dosent take out the square pegs on Friday afternoon when sitting down to pick the team.
KEEP IT SIMPLE JESSE PICK THE BEST PLAYERS IN THEIR BEST POSITIONS
Norwich has become the single most important match of the season. A win may give us the necessary momentum for the following games. With us scoring so few goals a clean sheet is a must: get Cresswell in there, please. Gelhardt to get us a 1-0 win. MOT
I still think we can catch Brentford despite them winning at the weekend, and if we can take 4 points from villa (1) and Norwich (3) on Saturday along with Burnley beating Brentford on next weeken we will be level on points with Brentford with 9 games to play. Burnley then play City 1st game after the international break (at home) so City lads might still have their heads in the clouds. I dont write Dyche off of all the managers down at the bottom he is well use to a scrap.
Come on Bull, wont take you long to work out the 10 teams in the mix and the 54 permutations!
Bull - can you do another poll this season? Be a cracking guessing game the way the season has started!!
After their 9-0 loss to Scousers, Bournemouth look like a decent shout for bottom 3
Right now I think it could be Wolves, Foxes and Saints
I think the horizontal centrifugal pump are in trouble and i know its early stages in the season but fork me the ceramic heat exchangers are doomed🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The rest of this transfer window is vital to some clubs, LUFC included.
Everton, Wolves, Foxes, Saints, Bournemouth, Villa, Brentford and Fulham need additions to bulk up their squads.
Forest have brought in loads and spent big. They have looked good.
Too early to call.
Still think this year, to avoid relegation clubs will need more than 40 points
If we perform like today there's not a lot to worry about.
NOT FOOKIN'US!!!!!! 😁

Southampton Watford Brentford
I'm confident Manure will be bottom after Monday - Liverpool should tear them a new one.
More worrying is watching all the expected relegation candidates picking up points.
Everton remain very worried, but now Southampton and Fulham have a win each, as Forest and Bournemouth already do.
Still hard to pick a 3
Hopefully Man Poo will still be bottom with no points after they play Scousers
It depends on if Everton sign anyone good before the window shuts. They have a few long term injuries now.

So much SKY focus on manure and then the usual top 4 battle - they are missing the relegation scrap which could be epic this year with all 3 promoted sides up and running.
Everton and Southampton will be nervous already
This year it is difficult to predict. There does not seem to be a couple of rubbish teams. May need 40+ points to stay up.
To say i'm worried is an understatement.

Norwich & Watford have gone now.
I'm afraid it will be between us & Everton.
Have a real bad feeling about it.
Just watched the Watford vs Burnley game.
WTF, at least half the Watford side were dead on their feet.
Suppose Hodgson fell a sleep, because he totaly failed to intervene (not one sub) when they were clearly struggling.
It looked like he wanted Burnley to win.
Maybe we should all lump on Villa at 100/1..
if they see their odds slashed to 6/1 slippy G would sh1t€ himself🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

MOT
Norwich has become the single most important match of the season. A win may give us the necessary momentum for the following games. With us scoring so few goals a clean sheet is a must: get Cresswell in there, please. Gelhardt to get us a 1-0 win. MOT
After last nights lack-luster performance (if you can call it that) Norwich,Watford, Leeds look like where the smart money would go :(
MUST WIN NEXT GAME
a draw wont help either ourselves or Norwich
I still think we can catch Brentford despite them winning at the weekend, and if we can take 4 points from villa (1) and Norwich (3) on Saturday along with Burnley beating Brentford on next weeken we will be level on points with Brentford with 9 games to play. Burnley then play City 1st game after the international break (at home) so City lads might still have their heads in the clouds. I dont write Dyche off of all the managers down at the bottom he is well use to a scrap.
