Next Saturday the wolves will visit our dear Elland road.
our results have not been so good this season, but I think the bottom has been reached.
The last game was the worst game we have played under Bielsa.
we are still missing some key players.
Junior-Bamford-Ayling-Koch and Phillips will by missing out tho Phillips might get some minutes.
Now is time for some fringe players to stand up and be counted.
They played for both
Andy Lonergan The goalkeeper had two spells with Leeds, spending both the 2011/12 and 2017/18 campaigns at Elland Road. Prior to his second stint with the Whites, he’d spent 2016/17 at Molineux with Wolves.
Jamie Clapham Clapham made over 250 appearances at Ipswich Town then, after joining Birmingham City, moved to Wolves. During the 2007/08 season, he had a loan spell at Leeds, making 15 outings during his time at Elland Road.
Neill Collins The defender initially joined Wolves on loan from Sunderland during 2006/07, before the move was made permanent. From Wolves, he had a loan spell at Leeds during the 2009/10 campaign, in which Leeds won promotion from League One before completing a full transfer.
Paul Butler Starting out with Rochdale, Butler played for Bury and Sunderland prior to making over 100 appearances for both Wolves and Leeds during his playing career. After his time at Elland Road, he played for MK Dons and Chester City.
Barry Douglas The full-back joined Leeds United in the summer of 2018 from Wolves, having helped the Molineux outfit win promotion to the Premier League from the Championship. He achieved the same feat at Elland Road last season, before moving on to Blackburn Rovers.
Michael Gray Gray made over 400 appearances for Sunderland from 1992-2004, before moving to Blackburn Rovers. He had two loan stints at Leeds, making a total of 16 appearances, prior to transferring to Wolves in 2007.
Jermaine Pennant The winger made his breakthrough at Arsenal and had a loan spell at Leeds from the Gunners, spending 2003/04 at Elland Road. Pennant played 15 times for Wolves during the 2012/13 campaign, when on loan from Stoke City.
Helder Costa Joined Leeds during the summer of 2019 on loan prior to a permanent deal. Like Douglas, Portugal international Costa helped Wolves win promotion to the Premier League in 2018 then did the same thing with the Whites in 2020.
Andy Keogh The forward started out at Leeds, before joining Scunthorpe United permanently in 2005. A moved to Wolves in 2007, then he returned to Leeds on loan during the 2011/12 season.
Sam Vokes Currently, at Sky Bet Championship outfit Stoke City, Vokes had a loan spell at Leeds from Wolves in 2009. He played a total of 59 times during his time at Molineux, before completing a permanent move to Burnley.
Robbie Keane The Republic of Ireland’s record goalscorer started his career at Wolves. After stints at Coventry City and Inter Milan, he joined Leeds and also went on to play for the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic, and LA Galaxy.

Team

Take Phillips out for Pascal as I don't think Bielsa will take a risk on Phillips thought he might get some minutes
About team selecting I trust Bielsa to find the right answer to get us on a victory path
MOT
Sausages and mustard!!
Knew we could count on you iceman.
Great job.
Not back to our best but by heck it was a huge improvement from last week.
Roll on Norwich
Well Done Ice Man
Keep the run going please!
Cooper makes more forward passes than anybody else in the back line. If there's somebody I would trust to start a move, it would be Coops. His passing accuracy is superb, not just amongst Leeds players but one of the top ten in the premiership.
Anyone who puts "Heck" in a post, cannot be taken seriously.
Have not seen the game in full (just the goals), yesterday managed to watch the result on the Beeb (Final score), was very happy we got a well deserved point.
According to the bbc we played very well second half, just hope Rapha's injury isn't to bad. 6 pointer next week against norwich.
We could do with our first away win of the season.

Our midfield was terrible. Only Struijk did his job. Sorry but Klich needs a rest (dropping from starting side). Heck, i would play Phillips, Struijk and Forshaw in the middle.
Feel sorry for Harrison today. Clearly better then James, Klich in the first half but gets subbed. It has to be upsetting for him to be just straight up relegated to behind James in the pecking order even though he playing better (not hard to be honest).
If i see Cooper continue to need 3 touches before passing with under 8's speed and strength again i will throw my tablet. It is frustrating to watch...
crowd were a bit frustrated in the first half grumbling wolves fans give them their due were vocal throughout not often you can hear them 2nd half was more like it
Super Leeds and we're staying up.
Brilliant atmosphere in the second half, I think the fans raised the players today, not that I wish to blow my own trumpet.
Gelhardt took to it like a duck to water, showed a it of confidence. Cooper had a good game.
First half was poor, raphinha was a class above though, can't see us keeping him long, you could see his frustration at times with shack and meslier. I like to think he was just teaching them what to do.
A point that felt like a win now we really do need to win next week.
Well done ice, just.
We showed a lot more fight, passion and resolve today, after the dismal display at Southampton. Much more like our old selves. The defence was effective and solid despite the goal, though more is needed from midfield and the wingers. A big and welcome improvement in performance from Dallas; Struijk was an able deputy for Phillips; Rodrigo had his best game for a long time; and Roberts when he came on, put in a shift and tried to be creative. But it was very much the coming of age for both Gelhardt and Summerville, neither of who look out of place in the premiership, even if despite Raphinha contributing yet another star turn. Klich though looks spent and struggled throughout.
Gelhardt has got natural talent. Im really pleased for Rodrigo.
Such a relief. The last 20 minutes we actually managed to keep a constant pressure on them, and the chances came. Feels like a win, this. Really good work, Iceman. MOT
We’re back!
Miles better than last week, with a still much depleted team.
We battered them today and if only we could finish, it could well have been a 4 or 5 -1 victory for us today.
Well done boys and well done Gelhardt & Summerville in particular
Congrats Ice, keep it going now please👍💛💙
Everton 2 Watford 5 !!!!!!!!!!!
🎯 Hopfully this is the turning point
Gelhardt starter next game please
Gelhardt has made such a difference. MOT
get in
Well plenty of fans have screamed at Bielsa for not using the kids - but today again he's turned to Summerville and Gelhardt.
They've looked lively, but in truth it hasn't made the difference. Lots of attacking but the end product still missing.
We can compete with lots of teams in this league at full strength but right now the absentees and the lack of quality at the sharp end will see us bang in trouble.
Praying the 6 minutes of injury time will prove me wrong
Very difficult to see where a goal should come from without Raphinha. Summerville or James to show some creativity, hopefully, but it looks more and more like we’re losing this one.
It never rains but it pours.
Fouling s*** Saiss gets a yellow, but he's done Raphinha's achilles. His game is over and this could be weeks out.
Harrison out seems right; but Tyler Roberts in? We need goals, you know…
Energy is better today, but still too many bad decisions and also many misunderstandings between our players. Some look like their self-confidence is very, very low. Come on Leeds.
4-4-2, change of formation great start.
Then we're 0-1 down out of nowhere
james as striker!!!!!!!
Interesting attack team.exited to se how Raphinha will do as no 10
this might help Rordrico
Interesting with Raphinha as no. 10, and in theory a very dangerous attacking quartet:
Rodrigo
Harrison Raphinha James
Good luck my friend.
Can’t believe we are back to the days of hope over expectation.
Last season teams just didn’t know how to play against us. This season we seemed to have turned overnight into a gimme.
if Roberts scores we are on the pitch
Good luck ice, you will need it.
You could basically drop all 10 outfield players from last week's shambolic nothingness of a performance.
Philips should play, simple as that. Him at 50% is better than anything else we have in that position. Now is not the time for worrying about the future, worry about the present !!!.
Can Rapha save us today, probably not but thank christ he is playing.
Just read a quote from Tyler Roberts on BBC Radio Leeds " I think I've had a decent start to the season".
God help us!!!
I wrote a great big long piece only to find it has not uploaded so 2-1 to them OG for us
Exactly, 1972. I could fear that this match again will expose the lack of quality in whatever team Bielsa will or will be able to field with all the current injuries. But hoping for a little miracle and a win against Wolves before the winable Norwich game. MOT
If we get beat by the better team on the day, fair play, assuming we have also tried our best. To be honest I don't know what to expect tomorrow.
good luck Ice.
hopefully Ayling is fit so we can play Shackleton as DCM.
2-1 Win Rafa & Klich
.
Good Luck Ice Man
Best of luck iceman
Like most think if Kalvin dosent play we my get tonked (heavily) especially as they are very direct in running and if our midfield parts like the red sea it will be a long afternoon for us.
However im trying to see the positives and hopefully training at TA went well this week and we can take a point and steady the ship. The players need a boost in confidence and what better way to face Norwich next weekend after a solid performance this??
Bull going for 0-0 with Meslier keeping us in the game but sadly our attack might not register another game with no shot on target!!!
But take the point and hope Kalvin & Paddy are back for Norwich.
Rapha will improve us from last weeks debacle but tbf one man cant do it all especially upfront where lets be honest we are struggling badly.
Nice one ICE, best of luck (we'll need it).
Without Philips can't see us getting anything, perhaps another drubbing coming our way.
Surely a player of Philips's quality doesn't need more football training after being out for just a couple of weeks.
His absence is puzzling, even more so, when considering the non performances of last week's lot. If anything, it was them that looked like they hadn't trained for ages or perhaps they're overtrained, can't make my mind up.
The 1-0 defeat flattered us big time, the fact that we conceded on the break doesn't tell the story (at all).
WE CAN NOT GET ANY LOWER THAN LAST GAME I THINK IN PERFORMANS
Good luck Iceman for a prolonged run.... I really did think that I'd be in the MDT for longer than 2 games against the standard of teams we're playing so we've got to pick up points versus these bang average clubs.
I'm going for a positive 4-3 victory with a Raphinha hat trick and a Geldhart screamer for our new hero....
Raphinha back could make the difference and if played behind Geldhart and in between James and Harrison, who are firing, then we'll score more than them.
Not too sure about the following line though Iceman and was hopefully lost in translation.... "I think the bottom has been reached".... 👍⚽😉🤔🤣😂
Good luck, Icelandic. Gonna be a very interesting team selection (and game, of course) after last week’s catastrophe. I fear that your guess on the starting eleven is a good one…. MOT
Some read that ice Phillips is out so I reckon forshaw will start
Best of luck Iceman! You’re the messiah now and not just a naughty boy.
I fear you’ll need some luck though as this lot did the double on us last year and they are starting to hit some form.
I am hopeful of a point and will say 1-1, but I’m pessimistic with so many injuries.
