Great result today and just what was needed. Heard a few murmurings on The Square Ball podcast that a few people have been questioning whether Farke was the man for the job or not. I would say it's ludicrous to even consider changing him based on what he has done so far. Pleased for Bamford to get a goal today, he runs the line well and presses the defence which is what Farke wants. Rutter does this role equally as well, but he is much more influential in that deeper role we saw him in today. Piroe doesn't have the natural attributes to play the striker role that Farke wants. He may find himself being forced out of the starting line up, as a fit Bamfords allows Rutter to play the 10 role where he clearly excelled today.

Typical that they give them a points deduction in a season when there are 5 dogshit teams in the division. I would expect this to have absolutely no impact on their future and they effectively got away with it . This should have been sorted out last season.

I was talking to two lads from work earlier this week that are both Boro fans. They said Greenwood had been playing well, but questioned why he was considered to be a dead ball specialist. They said he hasn't hit the target yet with a free kick. They also seem to think they have an option to buy for 1.5m

I would be reluctant to lose Ampadu from midfield. He's been arguably our best and most consistent player this so far season. I was thinking Gray might drop to RB as he covers Ayling whenever he gets forward.

Is this a change of formation, or is Gray going to fill in at RB?

I'd probably switch James for Anthony at half time. Also switch Piroe and Rutter around.

I missed their goal. We looked rattled for a good few minutes after they scored. We are settling in now and getting on top. Nice to see the ref dish out a couple of early yellows, something I've been critical of previously with our players not getting any protection. Having said that Smallbone should be off the field for what was clearly a second yellow card.

We have very quick and mobile forwards who are able to beat a man. How do we keep getting refs that are happy to watch them get chopped down repeatedly and not book them.

Strong first half from us there. Totally in control and should really be 2-0 ahead. The front four are causing some real problems. James went looking for a penalty when he had the chance to just put his foot through the ball and have a shot on goal. If he'd just tried to shoot I'm pretty sure the contact would have then meant he got a penalty. We look very comfy at the back, they have caused us no problems at all. We need to start the second half in the same way and give them nothing to make them think they can get something out of this game. Carry on as we have been and we'll be taking the points.

Just seen a fair few fans moaning a bucket load on Facebook about how we should have won that game. For what it's worth I thought we were by far the better team until the sending off. Rutter is clearly fit now, the lad got through a massive amount of closing down. Unlucky with his one on one and really should have scored. I can only assume he saw the keeper moving to his right and tried to put it in the other corner only for o be thwarted by a big toe. Other than that he seems to be a bit of a focal point up top, ball Played into his feet with others running off looking for a layoff. Somerville was unlucky not to score from one of these. Sommerville was excellent when he came on. A constant threat and pace that panics the opposition. He was also unlucky not to score in the second half when he hit a deflection from the edge of the box. The ball was beating the keeper all day long only for there to be a well positioned defender for it to bounce off and away to safety. It was all change after the red card and at that point the best we could hope for was a point and a clean sheet which we got. I didn't honk Rodon deserved a yellow for his first challenge but the second one was a stone bonker. The positives are we got a point away from home and another clean sheet. We had the better of the chances whilst it was 11v11 and on another day we would have won. If we can keep up the defensive record we will be heading up the table choose what. My only concern is who fills in for Rodon, Cooper didn't fill me with confidence.

I missed Ritter's goal. Gnonto ran to the corner flag with his finger on his lips I think. I could be wrong. This was in front of Ipswich fans, no Leeds fans at that end. Piroe scored an easy goal and just ended up hugging another player as he jogged towards the corner flag.

That's a strong starting lineup. I was hoping to see Sini and Piroe start today, but didn't expect them to start. Normally managers make them sit on the bench for a few weeks before bringing players back in. Thankfully Farke can clearly see that we need a proper striker and he has been confident enough to throw him straight in there. Those front four should be able to cause mayhem in this division.
