Team for next season

Well the easy part is done!!

Going on the performance of last years promoted teams,we will have to spend big to have any chance of staying in the PL.

Ipswich spent around 130 million,Leicester around 100 million & Southampton around 70 million last summer and are all relegated with 4 or more games left.

Who does everyone think we should keep/sell from current squad -

I would go with something like this

Gk- New GK (would love Trafford but doubt it,Maybe Nick Pope),Darlow as no. 2

But Aaronson is like a minor deity, nay he strides a path through the forest that mere men could dream of doing. He's up there with Pele, Messi and Best.,

Where is TC10

We can't go into another match without his neurotic blubbering and lack of weather forecasts,

Going for a home 2-1, with Storm Amy scoring directly from a corner!!

No idea where this post will end up, but hopefully someone will see it!

Once again we didn't get what we deserved.

So we have only 1 point to show from some good to very good performances against Fulham, Bournemouth and today vs Spurs.

The main problem is that we're forgetting to reward ourselves and thus we're missing out on some vital points.

In truth today, more than in previous games (bar the capitulation at Arsenal), showed a bit more of our limitations, both in terms of quality of players as with the number of options available.

Sadly it all points towards lacking that extra bit of quality, composure and know-how, all over the pitch.

In attack we failed to score when we could and should have.

Rodon, DCL had big chances, even if the Spurs goalkeeper had to make a couple of good saves.

Defensively, It's hardly ever a good idea to keep backing away from your opponent, that's exactly what Pascal did, twice.

And yes he wasn't helped with GG being out of position for the first goal and again when we got his body in a tangle and gifting the ball to Kudus for the second.

Darlow, not that much to do, 2 deflections but perhaps for the first could have done a bit better? Maybe that's being harsh.

Rodon was outstanding (score and he gets a 10),

Strujck looked on edge the whole game.

GG and Bogle faced tricky players, with Bogle having a real good game, except with some of those overhit crosses.

Aaronson (in fairness playing out of his position) did rather well in first half, but was poor in the second.

His replacement, Harrison tried but offered very little (a few very poor crosses).

Hardly noticed Stach and AO did a much better job.

Longstaff wasn't as effective or dominating as against Bournemouth.

Amps was Amps but just trying to overcomplicate things, combined with a number of bad touches.

Okafor lively and often provided an outlet, ran out of steam.

.DCL once again put in the yards, won a lot of headers & in general linked the play well. But he just needs to stick the ball into the net.

Piroe looked bright whilst Nmecha is still trying to touch the ball (rumour has it he finally succeeded 5 mins after the whistle had gone).

Justin in the few minutes he got, in vain tried to get an assist. Someone needs to tell him, we're the team in white.

REF.: : Well next time (hopefully that doesn't happen materialise) he should perhaps bring his spectacles. But he certainly did blew his whistle really well for the Spurs.

You gotta give Farke that he has found some really good/value-for-money players in Stach, Longstaff, Gudmonsjon, Okafor and DCL, and that he really makes all his players fight for each other and for the shirt. It’s not difficult to like this team, and Farke deserves credit. MOT
