If true, totally unforgivable! I get that players have to go where the best contracts and opportunities are, but to have received the support and admiration from Leeds fans for so long, I don't get how anyone could consider going to somewhere that has such a hurtful past for the club.

Gianni has signed for some Saudi Team - Al Ahli or something like that.
Contract, I am sure will help him have no financial worries in the future. Wish the guy well. Always gave 100% for us and was loads of fun.
Thanks for the ride Gianni!
Welcome back Greg!
And if Alioski goes... they can kiss badges and claim fan affinity all day long... but when the cash register comes calling... it's basically 'ker ching.' Footballers are full of it.
It still amuses me that Kewell queued up and collected his Champions League winners medal with Liverpool. He got booted off at half time, 0-3 down. Great contributor to the cause. You'd really want him in the trenches with you.
This is a tough one.
The Bunny has been taken into all LUFC fans hearts and tbf to guy he has always given everything to the Jersey, ok now in the PL he maybe out of his depth but the guy tries his best and that is all i ask. I think moving to Turkey (closer to Macedonia) gives him a chance to remain an international for his place of birth, plus the Turkish league would be considered one of the best leagues in that part of the world. He is 29 years old so still got a few years in him, he is out of contract at the end of this season what do "fans" expect? Leeds to re-sign him knowing he isnt up to the PL standard required.
Obviously Alioski has to try and maximize his time/money while still playing professional football and lets be honest not one championship club would pay him the money he is likely to get at Galscum.
For me overall id thank the guy for his service and commitment to LUFC and i dont see his decision "if" he does move over there shows any sign of disrespect to the memory of Kevin Speight & Chris Loftus, as BB said Kewell moved there when he already had his money well made and he definitely didnt need to go there in 2008, 8 years after that horrific night when Kevin & Chris were killed.
I don’t have a problem with it tbh. Those tragic events happened at a time when Alioski had no connections to Leeds. Kewell was very, very different and screwed us over twice
I agree with Peter here, we should just let him go now if it is definitely happening. Won't make any difference to Leeds position and the longer it goes on it will be very divisive for the fans.
Of all the clubs it has to be that one, would leave a sour taste if it happens.
If it is true he is going to Galatasary then as far as I am concerned he should go now and not play again.
just pay him up and leave.
there is little impact on this season.
I do not blame him personally looking after his future but in memory of Chris and Kevin he can not stay.
I have not seen Alioski's commitment drop over the past few weeks, even though it appears he knows he is leaving.
Like others I would like to see him go elsewhere but I will not "hate" him or think less of him if he chooses them.
Big money, Champions League football, closer to home - if he were my son I know what I would advise
He and Siaz where the only 2 decent things to come out of the Thomas Christiansen debacle. Alioski has done his bit and has come as far as he can go. If it is Galatasaray then yes, it would have been better to have chosen a different team, but it's closer to his home in Macedonia and the football club had nothing to do with what happened, so I think it would be unfair to punish him for trying to secure some financial security. I personally wish him all the best if this is the end and thank him for being an honest hardworking member of the team.
Kewell was different, he was there and witnessed the disgusting disregard for lost life.
We as fans think differently emotionally wise to most players. For us it’s an easier choice.
Allioski cannot make the same emotional choices. For me it was too long ago for him to even consider the circumstances.
Its naive to think that some players have the same emotional connection to the club and its past as the fans who have followed Leeds their whole life.
Especially players that weren't around to witness the events.
"IF TRUE...... " and most of you have already hung him, let alone the w*nkers defacing artwork. Sad.
He was 8 at the time he probably knew nothing about it
also am sure no one who runs the club now it even cross their mind
and bb you are correct his wages are below that of people who were not at the club last season although were on the books that big lump who thought he as a winger the left back he replaced all were getting paid mor than him even that bloke bouy? Who never set foot on the training pitch was on par with him on wages
he never complained so best of luck to him
If he ends up there, he'll lose some of the affection the fans have for him.
Could have chosen a "better" club, but as Soop says they weren't directly responsible, those horrible tugs were.
Putting it mildly I don't like them!
Very hard and unfair to compare him to the Kewell situation, the latter was there when it happened, didn't care and joined them (could have chosen from a number of clubs).
Alioski always gave/gives his all for the club and was an important part of the promotion winning team. This season in the Premiership he has played more games than I ever expected, but in a fair number of them it seemed to be beyond his level.
Biggest question for now, → should a player who's gonna leave next season
be replaced by someone from the U-23, Davis or Huggins.
I would at least give them so gametime and find out if they're ready or not.
This is tough. The club aren't directly responsible for what happened any more than Leeds Utd should be tarred by the behaviour of our own "fans" in Bournemouth for example.
I would guess there's nobody left at the club from 2000 to shoulder blame anyway.
I understand Alioski going there as it's closer to home and it's a job to him, even though I'd also prefer he went anywhere else for the emotional reasons.
I agree entirely Rich.
If Alioski goes ahead with this move, then he will instantly go from hero to zero with, I suspect at least 50% of the population of Leeds and our supporters everywhere.
In my opinion, it shows a total lack of respect for the memories of Chris and Kevin, the club and the fans, whom have been so good to him and with whom he has enjoyed ‘Hero’ status since his arrival.
He must be aware that he will be unable to return to Leeds and ER in the future if he joins the Turkish SCUM and therefore must have considered the consequences of his actions before acting accordingly.
See ya Gianni, but not in Leeds! I thought you would have more about you than to ever consider such a move.
Shame on you.
Not so sure Rich. Alioski always gave 100% to the famous White Shirt and added character and laughter to the team. Although he has been paid fairly well, I doubt he is currently on more than £15k per week.
He is unlikely to have earned enough during his current career to be able to retire without having to worry at some point.
So if they offer him £50k-£60k per week over a 4 year deal, then I can understand the temptation.
I cannot begrudge him that.
It is not like Kewell who was a multi multi millionaire with a wife also earning shedloads before he sold his soul.
