Next game is a must win. 3 points are essential as our last 4 will not be easy to even get a point. No win on Sunday and the Championship beckons
Cherries are now safe after their win on Thursday v Saints. So it looks like 3 from five to be relegated - LUFC, Forest, Everton, Foxes or Saints
They will still have injured trio of Traore, Fredericks and Stanislaus out. Unfortunately, they have pace up top with Solanke, Tavenier and Lerma. Not sure if our own once boy wonder Lewis Cook will get on the field though.
They have a tiny stadium with a capacity of only 11,379 so we will get about 1,300 tickets but our away fans are great so it will only be them that are heard on Sunday.
They actually consider us rivals but I am sure this relates to 1992. Cannot work out why the police have allowed this game to be played on a Bank Holiday weekend when since 1992 they have forced games to be played midweek. Let's hope our fans thoroughly enjoy the long weekend without getting into any trouble.
Interesting fact, Basketball legend and Hollywood actor Michael B Jordan owns a stake in the club.
JG really needs to be brave, we cannot defend so please do not set up the team to sit back. We have to attack. Team for me:
Meslier
Rasmus, Koch, Cooper, Wobber
Mckennie, Forshaw
Jimmy, Harrison, Gnonto
Bamford
Subs: Robles, Ayling, Stuijk, Firpo, Forshaw, Greenwood, Joseph, Rodrigo, Rutter
Please no Aaaronsen in the 20
What team will we see? The one that tore Palace apart in the first half or the other one? It better be the one that played first half v Palace but this time for both halves.
I'd harped on for ages about Sergio Garcia having a Plan B in at least our formation.... we played a back 3/5 v Bournemouth as I'd demanded 🙈🤣
However, I meant Koch and Wober with Coops in the middle and not playing RB Rasmussen as one of the 3!
If we're being pedantic my formation in only losing 4-1 was better than losing 5s and 6s to Palace and Liverpool! 🙈
At this point sack him! Harsh but he knows he's gone whatever happens and even though it's a roll of the dice (yet again) we have nothing more to loose by doing so. He's added nothing since his arrival and the players have not responded to him positively on the field of play. Not only that but keeping him on will only increase the insideous air of malaise surrounding the club and players at the moment and this will only become even more toxic.
Radz and Orta Out!
Gracia, like everyone else, know's he is a dead man walking. We have 4 games left so sacking him I guess is not an option, however continually serving up the same sh*te for the next 4 games is something I cannot bear to watch. Apparently there is a leadership group within the squad, so fck Gracia out of the door and let these "leaders" take control for the remainder. The game is pretty simple, defend well and attack to score. We have little chance of getting any more points from the remaining games so what have we got to lose!
For all the fan of Luke Ayling, look at the first goal and who scored it. Then look at who was marking him and walking back watching as his man calmly pick his spot and shots. Then watch Luke Ayling do his little oh no routine again. Simple tracking back running and goal is prevented.
The second goal. If our goal keeper was in South America, he would be shot for that mistake. Never able to play first team football again for his attempt at the 3rd goal. Can someone tell me what the difference between current Meslier form and former calamitous keeper Paul Rachubka? Young Klaesson must thinking what do I have to do to get a game.
Our goal. Gnonto with a peach of a cross, Summerville with extremely smart run to draw the defender away and Bamford stands perfect for a simple headed finish.
M.I.A award goes to Roca.
I actually thought for the first 20 minutes we were doing OK, the players actually looked up for it. And then......
I would have dropped Meslier 5 games ago, he has been bloody terrible for ages now, that flap for the 2nd goal was just embarrassing.
I didn't join in with the you're not fit to wear the shirt as I feel that is too generic. I love Ayling for what he has done for us and its not his fault that he is still better than the new guy. Gnonto doesn't deserve it either but the rest do.
It was weird at the end how the players just stood there and stared at the fans as they were getting dogs abuse, a very sad sight.
We are down. I wouldn't drop meslier for the city game as that would just shatter someone else's confidence. Play Meslier, completely break him and bring robles in for Newcastle.
We are down.
Drop players thinking about their next move and put players in that want to play.
Van de Heuval in for Meslier, Greenwood and Gyabi in for Roca and Mckennieand put Jospeh up top with Patrick.
Good job we have great kids as the wanted, experienced guys look like the are planning their futures away from ER. Lets just hope we get top price for them
Well I’ll be honest with you all. I haven’t been on here for a few weeks as I have had the stuffing knocked out of me by our recent performances. There haven’t been any glimmers of hope that have made me want to log on and have a read about what has happened in the matches. I’ve been watching the games but that alone was more than enough.
today is a bitter blow and unfortunately we are going to just have to sit back and take our medicine. I don’t see any point in changing the manager again, we may as well see where we are and then plan for who we go after. I can’t see is getting anything other than a point maximum from the remaining games and sadly we will be relying on other teams being worse than us for us to stay in the division.
Predictably abysmal and depressing!
They were poor . We somehow managed to be even worse. Paddy did ok with the goal by was otherwise indifferent. Willy was ok now and again but he's wondering why he's out there after being overlooked and knows he's gone. Jack tried at least. The rest were absolutely shocking.
Need a complete rebuild next season. JG Totally and utterly clueless and even now after a couple of months clearly has no rapport with the players.
Bottom line is I blame orta and radz (in that order) for the mess.
Mot next season.
Cant believe we beat Chelsea 3-0 eight months ago, and things looked good….
Shambolic.
Sounded like only Ayling and Gnonto trying.
Gnonto will be off and Ayling only keeping shirt warm for Cody.
All XI will either be sold or can go.
unlucky BB more thoughts went into you MDT than tactics on the pitch
Fkn shambles....
We've taken ONE point out 6 against Leicester and Bournemouth and our goal difference isn't worth a point anymore.... Citeh and Newcastle to come next.
We are miles away from teams like Brentwood, Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth, Wolves, Palace etc....
Fkn embarrassing....
Meslier is a CUNextTuesday
45 minutes to save the season.
Well have to score 4.
Ain't happening 😉
These long straight ball where both Gnonto and Summerville have to try and compete for against guys 20cm taller then them. Gnonto ball was cracking and Summerville run inside the defender to free Bamford was also excellent. Thank god Bamford headed that home.
Trying to work out the formation and have come up with 343 i think. Back 3 of kock Kristensen as rcb, koch cb, Wober lcb. Ayling and Harrison wingbacks. Roch lcm, Mckennie rcm. Gnonto and Summerville inverted wings and Bamford upfront.
£150M bill for the 49ers, a big saving on £420M - they probably don't mind relegation.
Time to get the ownership and board sorted out.
Clear out the players heading for the exit
Find the right manager
Reset.
2 down after 20mins, not ust game but season over
Good luck BB, I note that in recognition of playing his heart out last game…….Rodrigo gets dropped!!
I hope we turn up guys!
3-2 us Cummmmmmmonnnnnn U Mighty Fookin Whites💛💙💥🥊
Gnonto starting.
So is Bamford; would have preferred Rodrigo.
Roca and McKennie…. Would have preferred Forshaw for one of them (what a pity we sold Klich).
Come on Leeds. This is it. MOT
Now is the time for the players to stand up and be counted. The suffering fans have done their bit. If Forest's defeat yesterday hasn't given them an extra incentive to play at 100%, then I don't know what will!.
If Gracia doesn't play Gnonto, then I would imagine the vast majority of the fans will turn against him and the board and things could get pretty ugly!.
Good luck BB
must win game,Willy has to play imo.
we need to limit space in our defense that looked very shaky v Leicester.
I'd go with
Meslier
Rasmus Koch Coops Strujic
Forshaw
Roca Greenwood
Jack Rodders willy
with Forshaw dropping very deep when we don't have the ball, almost a 3rd cb.or play Wobber there if he's
I'm going for a 3-4 win after being behind once or twice, keep the defibrillators ready! ..
Forest beating Brentford at half time.
God help us if they hold on - back to back wins puts then 3 points ahead of us going into tomorrow...
there's somebody up there looking out for us. Forest suffer another late injury (goalscorer Danilo) and have to finish with 10 men. Brentford score 2 late ones and we still have it in our hands....
Forest lost some big names in the last few games... Scott mcKenna, Chris Wood, Neco Williams and now Danilo.
To play the managers style correctly then it would have to be this side.
Meslier
Kristensen, Koch, Cooper, Struijk
Ayling, Forshaw, Mckennie, Firpo
Bamford, Rodrigo
To play to actually win the game then then it needs to be,
Meslier
Koch, Cooper, Struijk
Mckennie(RWB), Gyabi(DCM), Firpo (LWB)
Greenwood (ACM)
Summerville (RF), Rutter (F), Gnonto (LF)
The front 4 would be a interchangeable diamond.
Well done didn’t read it all as got eye ache 1-1
Meslier
Dallas Cooper Koch Dallas
Dallas Batty
Gnonto Rodrigo Jack or Jimmy
Paddy
Not Aaronsen
30 Bournemouth
Not got a result or mdt right all season - so I hope my form continues Sunday.
Cherries defence is as bad as ours. The only way we win is if we are set up to attack.
It does not matter if we win 6-5. We just need the win
Nice one BB. Good luck
It doesn't sound like wober will be playing so that aint great. Sinisterra is out for the season so more bad news there.
It will be what it will be as some great philosopher once said.
It's unlikely to be what we want it to be, iMO. But you never know.
Last time I went there we lost 4-0 or 4-1 can't quite remember and us leeds fans sang all the way through, great atmosphere, result was irrelevant as we were mid table going no where fast. It won't be that this time if we are losing, it will be angry especially if gnonto doesn't get on.
Hopefully we just somehow win.
14c chance of heavy showers..(rain showers).
Agreed its a MUST WIN, it wont be easy but our players that are given the Jersey on Sunday must take it that honour and do it justice. The players SHOULD KNOW they have let the fans / Club down in recent months but the line in the sand must be drawn, there are no more chances we are in a dogfight and its ONLY the players that can get us out of it.
We need the older players (championship winning) members to fire up the new comers and call out the deadwood into playing these last 5 games as a little mini tournament (not a holiday one, but a fight for survival).
The LUFC fans that are lucky enough to get tickets will ive no doubt be in top form and doing there utmost to get behind the players, but the players MUST help that too.
The first goal will be crucial (we all know / fear) if they get it will our players show the fight that the forest players showed on Wed. night when they went one down? If we get it can we push on for the second and stamp out that Palace 2nd half diabolical display?
im going to say 2-0 leeds especially if Wober & Coops are playing (iceman long overdue a clean sheet) fingers crossed for you BB, you could be the new crowned LUFC uMDT Hero 22/23 taking over from another Iceman
Well done BB. Courage!
As for Gnonto starting and Aaronsen not playing? Hope springs eternal!
If Willy doesnt start then JG should do one now. If Aaronsen is allowed anywhere near the field of play..same applies. JG is an incompetent fraud and needs to be gone soon as is, whether or not we go down. Even at this point in the season think we'd be better off without him tbh, his press conferences make no sense whatsoever or am I missing something?
As for the rest, the boyz need to step up and grind out a win otherwise we can all look forward to Championship football next season.
Then there's Radz and Orta (doing the best they can.....to destroy MB's legacy ) OUT!
Scruffy 2-1 to us.
Quality MDT BB and good luck for a prolonged run....
Nothing else to say other than a must win and player for player we are simply better overall!
I'm going for a positive 1-0 victory with Bournemouth gifting us an own goal.... 🙈😲
Go for it BB - you are the man this week.
Tavernier looks to be out, which helps - Bournemouth also have the magic 36 points, so let's hope they are on the (very nice) beach down there.
I have faith! We won't lose.
