Completely agree Glory. Not sure what Rutter brings at the moment. ? In particular, I cant help but noticing his inability in ther air- seems to be rooted when "going up" for the ball almost like a token jump. On the ground just looks slow and clumsy. I truly hope Im proved wrong but at the moment hes looking like another of Victors vanity/panic buys and spare us ....a JPA v2!! He needs to be on at the start of the game (in place of Paddy?) to know what hes about especially as Paddy is just not in control of his feet at the moment.

Same here Glory, don't see anything I like, let alone glimmers of class.

The massive outlay puzzles me and makes me wonder how we do our scouting.

We need nothing short of a miracle to escape relegation.

Like I said before we need to fire on all cylinders in order to get a win or even a draw. Our frailties are there for all to see, individual errors like Meslier's today are just far to common. Meslier's big weakness remains his positioning.

There is also no coincidence most that teams, rating from Premiership to "pub teams" (you get my drift) always look like scoring against us.

In my view we should already be preparing for next season (in the Championship).

Some huge questions to answer for the board, where do we go from here? The next manager needs to be given time, so do we get him in now or do we wait until the end of the season? Which players will want to stay in case of relegation? Could we still afford those?

Still, we would need to keep hold of some experienced players + give players like Gelhardt, Greenwood, Gyabi, Summerville and any returning players like Drameh, Cresswell, Hjelde, Bate a proper chance.

There is little to no use in pointing the finger at previous or current managers. That's all water under the bridge.

But at the end of the day, obviously mistakes have been made.

JM was more than backed & the players he obviously wanted were signed.

Begs the question were some of those ill advised and or overpayed? Probably..., but then again Adams & Gnonto have looked great.

Aaronsen started brightly and since then faded badly, Sinesterra has blown hot & cold (but is injury prone?). Roca looked a decent footballer but lacks pace & mobility, Kristensen looks a limited/slow player (looks a bit out of his depth) I do like Wober, but if he's got one flaw it's again a lack of pace.

Anyway, it begs the question why some issues in terms of obvious glaring weaknesses in our team/squad (after how many months) have still not been adressed?

1) the general lack of any genuine pace in our defence, both at the centreback & full backs.

2) a natural left back ( a defender not a wing back).

3) the main striker → nr. 9 position (not a winger come striker).

4) lack of a creative midfielder (Pablo's successor).

True and accurate analysis. Hoping for a miracle (=all players with a changed attitude and belief) against Southampton as compared with today which resembled the Forest game all too much.

More than one fkn drink and that's got the positivity up.... I'm going for that scoreline now 👍

My fear is that Everton will target the left back position given Struijk's previous games and he is clearly lacking a bit of confidence, Firpo on the other hand is sometimes an accident waiting to happen, so unfortunately I don't have the answer. Maybe we should just concentrate on scoring more goals than them although with Bambi mis-firing up front that may be a challenge!!

Firpo was about as effective as Struijk at LB in the Scum double header, I don't think Everton have a potent threat at right wing (hope not anyway).

The risk Everton pose under Dyche is set pieces, corners etc. that's what makes me worry!
