Well this is my 4th MDT when it was only meant to be 1 gig
Nothing to write about Chelsea that has not been written before on previous MDTs
Poch will put out his best 11 after losing at Wembley. This is his only chance of silverware this season.
Cannot see DF resting anyone. All of our guys will want to play in this one.
With us having 40+ hours more rest than them and with them playing 120+ mins on Sunday, hopefully, their tiredness will make this a more even game.
My team:
Meslier
Gray Rodon Ampadou Firpo
Gruev Kamara
Gnoto Rutter Summerville
Bamford
Subs: KK, Shackelton, Cooper, Cresswell, Byram, James, Piroe, Antony, Joesph
Only question to ask: Which team will the LUFC/Chelsea/Anyone who is winning golf man Colin Montgomery support?
Quality game from 99% of our players last night, even if it did take some until the 2nd half to find their feet.
I am though seriously concerned about the continued failure of Piroe who seems, imho, to be getting worse with each game. The odd good run now and then, but seems to be wondering around like a lost lamb.
Maybe the resurgence of Bambi has got into his head and where as he signed thinking he would be the no 1 striker, this is no longer the case.
Whatever the reason DF needs to be having a strong word, we cannot afford passengers in our promotion quest. If his head has gone, don't waste a shirt and get someone else in.
On the other hand, it could be that DF is asking him to play a role which is not suited to his natural game. If that's the case, then DF needs to reconsider for the good of the team.
Team did us proud fans were fantastic tell you what if they didn’t play their A team from the start
Leicester will do em
Full credit to young Joseph, if he can continue like that we've got another gem on our hands.
Pace, movement, quick feet, working rate, energy, can beat players, decent shot on him.
Impressive.
Tremendous second half from the lads.
What a performance, we had them on the canvas for most of that second half.
Archie was brilliant, but the last 15odd mins he was dead on his legs (not surprisingly), fresh pair of legs (Kamara) would kept us ticking over.
Pleasing to see that some players who found the tempo & pace challenging in the first half, found another gear in the second and certainly didn't look out of place at this level.
Very impressed with Anthony tonight, I'd say that's his best game yet. I wasn't sure about him before now, but I would happily back him to get signed.
Key players Rutter, Gruev, Bamford, Summerville, Gnonto and Byram rested for the more important game on Saturday - Farke has got his priorities right, and still well played by the rest. MOT
Ah well, at least Archie got MOTM.
Proud of this second half..... Chelscum throwing all the big guns off the bench here because it's been uncomfortable.
Well done lads
Joseph adds a second million to his value.
Must be close to an England call up.
but we're playing Prem players - we can't shrink like that (not Meslier's fault this time)
but we're playing Prem players - Meslier can't shrink like that
Told ya!
Thats added a million to Josephs value.
Not the strongest Chelsea line up, we could get something here.
Well good start as the train I was going to catch is cancelled
Well Stu, if the ref is not lenient on them I can see their CMs - Moises and Enzo - being sent off in the first 30 mins.
Just hope they do not seriously injure one of ours
If anyone was still in doubt that we had strength in depth, then the win against Leicester was proof that we do.... I would start with the strongest team possible and hope that we nick a goal or 2 early on then bring on fresh legs early in the 2nd half 👍👍
3-2 to Leeds
Believe 😎👍
DF has already said whilst it's nice to play Premiership opposition, the priority this season is elsewhere, so don't expect many 1st team regulars to be initially starting tomorrow. For me, I would pick the following team:
Klaeson
Roberts, Cresswell, Cooper, Firpo
Gray, Ampudu
James Piroe Anthony
Joseph
You can take any pick from the remaining players to make up the subs.
We will get beaten, but in reality who really cares. We can take it more seriously next season after we have been promoted!!!.
BB - a longer than expected MDT, good work.
This will be it though - Farke already excused half the starting lineup with knocks from tomorrow's game. He does right.
We'll fight and not be overwhelmed, but a bridge too far
Chelscum 2-0 Leeds
I wish we were at home. I think we would do them. Not saying we won't away but would be great to play these under the lights at ER.
I'm sick to death of underperforming in the FA Cup. I want to win. We are on a winning roll, Chelsea arent, let's kick them in the gonads.
