Is it time to try to get MB back?
latest win ratio stats:
Bielsa's overall PL record 37.7%
Bielsa last season 21.7%
Marsch last season 33.3%
Marsch's overall PL record 32.0%
Given Bielsa brought his own team up after 2 full seasons of conditioning and Marsch is in the process of building I'd say that's a fair comparison.
Given our budget and standing compared to the rest of the PL I'd say both are fair records and I'm not clear anybody else would get us up past 40%.
Win ratio improved
Well I wouldn't have sacked El Loco in the first place, but the best we could have expected was another one year contract, and he might not have even signed that.
Don't think you can really compare premiership records with championship records. We were one of the better championship sides and weren't playing the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea etc, week in week out.
Well JMs win ration will have gone up after win v Liverpool!
I guess maybe the number of games should be highlighted in the stats as opposed to the percentage, which can sometimes paint a false picture? Just a thought.
In fairness to JM, in Feb 2022 he inherited a team that were indoctrinated in Bielsaball for the previous 2 years and had 12 games to change the system and try and stay up, not an easy task for anyone.
.... or Gary Monk with that win ratio!
How good would the buzz around the city be if Bielsa came back.... never gonna happen with a man of his principles.
He also doesn't know how to stop us leaking goals and Gnonto wouldn't get a game for another year until he's fitter!
