So now we have got through the midweek round we can take a fresh perspective.
Yep - all of us frustrated, lots we think we could improve - all had a bit of a grumble etc etc
Note that Ipswich drew a blank too yesterday - I watched it and it was just like us v Sunderland. Lacked a cutting edge or any urgency.
Leicester lost to Millwall.
It would appear nerves and fatigue are doing strange things to all of us right now up at the top.
This one is about strength of character for the last 4 games, maybe there's nothing wrong with the way the starting XI have played all season, and we are good enough? we have a very young team. this isn't a Farke meltdown, it's just the Championship at crunch time.
We simply passed the ball way to slow and went backwards more often then not. Both fullbacks relieved the ball facing their own goal 90% of the time meaning they had to trap and turn which was enough time for options to have been closed going forward.
Bamford looked energetic for the first 10 minutes until he had that nudge in the back by Ballard (CB) then he vanished pretty much.
Kamara looked afraid to switch the ball to the open man. It seemed more instructual then personally not wanting... just mean he offers a little less then he can give.
I remember writing that some players were getting used to the easy option (hero ball) and I said it needed to be stopped as it was forming a bad habit and was criticised by others and it is proving correct as it has set in and is affecting our overall play and now our results.
Oh and our sub timing and who was terrible today which compounded things.
At the end of the day we've won 12, drawn 3 and lost only 1 of the last 16....we'd have certainly taken that but it just happens to have come at the wrong time!
We're not breaking teams down at the moment but have Summerville, James, Rutter, Gnonto, Anthony to sort that....
Anthony HAS to be getting 30mins per game.... if not even fkn START!
We have the squad so fkn use/rotate/ rest/drop players!
Roberts needs to be played at RB.... or even Byram!
Kamara and Rutter need a break for 2 games to come back hungry....
I've loved Hattrick but it's just not working with him....
Our creative players don’t get enough protection from ref’s.
These dirty CU Next Tuesday’s just kept fowling us and getting away with it FFS! 2 clear penalty shouts and 1 more could have been given on another day!
At least our unbeaten home record still stands and we nicked a point off Leicester thanks to milscum!
BUT against an organised defence we can't find an opening - that's on us. Against a tough pressing midfield we flake - that's on us. Last 4 games, 1 win just when we had our destiny in our own hands.
Cant believe how little we created. And from THIRTEEN cornerkicks, not a single chance occurred. This was a missed opportunity, and I fear that our form is dipping at the exact wrong time.
Indeed Danish, but our form has been dipping for a while (feel after the cup run).
Soopa is not wrong, we're probably not as good as we think and we do lack some experience. Sadly, we all know that if we fail to get promotion this season, most of our key players will go.
It looks like there is nobody around to drag us over the line.
When several key players like Rutter, Jimmy, James/ Gnonto aren't on top form and don't come up with something special, scoring looks difficult.
Like you mention, scoring or creating from corners (apart from SB & Coops) are a rarety.
Goalscoring contributions from center mid's & CB's is also very low.
PB is, once again (going through a patch) looking like his confidence is shot and he simply doesn't look like scoring at all.
Agree with all of that. We have four matches for key players like Rutter, Ampadu and Gruev to regain their previous form… before we unfortunately may have to play the dreaded play-off matches
With Bamford in the line-up the chances for a comfortable win are small. Joseph’s attitude and self-confidence would serve us better. Looking forward to being proven wrong, of course. MOT
More woes in the midfield then - better hope Kamara has shaken off the manflu and Gruev is firing again.
As for where this dude lives, I thought it was perfectly clear? He was born in Rotherham, moved to Luton as a kid but then moved to Norwich Road, Lincoln, where he started to support Leeds. He now lives in Australia.

Effort was there but effective play was not.
So goes it...
I must admit I was expecting better from you lincwhich white, very poor show.
We are just so slow at the minute, I don't think any of our forward players look to have any confidence or competence, for the last few games anyhow.
Missed opportunity, just have to hope we can find some form for the play offs, doubt it like.
Also the 82nd minute subs was a ferking joke, go on lads you've got 8 minutes, go and sort it out.
3 mins added time was a joke too, not that I think we would have scored if it was 33 mins.
Grrrrrr

On and on💛💙
Starting to totaly dislike those Sunderland pricks,
We didn't create enough chances, but we were certainly robbed of 2 clear penalty's.
Shite ref & assistants and only 3 minutes of extra time.

We are not as good as we think we are. sadly.
We are a young Championship team and we need more experience. Ampadu crabbing because he's 23 and not done this before, Gruev the same.
Hard to be angry but god we are stumbling badly now.
Think we need Rutter and Summerville to create more chances for us.
Whos next on the list? Were going to throw this away
Just got in from work
Come on Leeds
It's the first team indeed
god, I'm nervous - we need to win and preferably boost our GD.

Well stepped up Lincoln and quality half arsed MDT.... good luck for a prolonged run 👍
I'm going for a few changes as players look knackered after many games close together.... we have a QUALITY squad and should be using them!
Darlow
Roberts Rodon Ampadu Byram
Gray Gruev
Summerville Gnonto Anthony
Joseph
May be too much of a lack of height and Rutter needs a rest to get back to full fitness after his op....
I'm going for a positive 1-0 victory with Joseph notching.... just keep Jack Clarke quiet!
Good luck Lincoln White.... why are you called that and where do you live in Norwich?
