As any know, I am not particularly interested in the competition formerly known as the League Cup.
We cannot win this Mickey Mouse cup. The "Big Teams" will be challenging for it.
My ambition is just to play well in this game with some of our kids given a chance
Arsenal originally played in a place called Plumstead Common until 1913 when a group of angry women burned down their stadium - TRUE FACT
Arteta will not want to lose this so will field a strong side. He wont be giving his kids a chance in this game. So I would expect Lacazette to start with Our Eddie Nketiah up top.
Partey will be in the middle with Odegaard. Maitland Niles on one wing and Pepe on the other.
Our Ben White will be at CB with Holding. Chambers at RB and Tavares at LB. Leno in goal.
If I was MB, I would stick with our 4-1-4-1 setup:
Meslier
Drameh Cresswell Struijk Dallas
KP
Summerville Shackelton Forshaw James
Gelhardt
I would also be looking to blood Greenwood against his former employers at HT.
Is Harrison injured?
If not he has to play (as only did 45 mins v Wolves) and James has done a lot more work since his arrival. Other than that I think your team looks about as good as we can do, resting the key players.
Not a bad shout as a team selection
I reckon 1-1 at full time
then us 5-4 pens
According to Phil Hay, Harrison has been carrying a rib injury but has played given how many we have out.
Good luck mate
Good luck BB on your run to Wembley.... gutted, as I had to give my ticket away as the boy has a game.
Without knowing about the KP injury, I'd rest him til Sunday to make sure he's ok and put Forshaw in his place and add Greenwood.... at least this way there's some creativity in midfield.
Going 1-1 with a Geldhart screamer....
I disagree, we can win this cup. We can beat anyone on our day...........Chances are we won't win it mind.
you almost had me uplifted there.
Then I read the last sentence 🙄
Good luck Bri.
For the first time in a few years a win in this competition is definitely a want.
Momentum is all to prove that the Wolves game was a bit of a turning point.
