The clickbait I saw said 4 in the Whoscored team of the week - Meslier, Ayling, Rutter and Piroe - but your link looks the real deal so I'll go with it.
Heard a interesting little thing about our ref from this game. Looking over his history. If he has a player crying and acting like a baby early in the games and arguing about everything that player will not get any calls unless they are so obvious. This explains Gnontos and Ayling no calls.
On a positive note.
How good was it to see us being able to bring off Gnonto and Summerville and bring on equally as dangerous in different way true substitutes?
Or the fact we could bring on experienced (games wise not age) midfield substitutes during the game?
Best of all even though it is early days. Rondon and Struijk have a decent balance between them at CB. Left foot, right foot combination.
Byram experience shows as he seems to understand space and his movements to become available for the ball helps our CB's and CM's. If we could just get the right back to do the same it would free up ArchieG to attack alittle more.
Rutter style of a play is a cross between Gumby, Inspector Gadget and silky smooth grace. There is a smart footballer in there and with time and confidence could become destructive to defences. Anyone noticed that he seems to have bulked up a little through his legs and core.
Oh and while I am not his fan I got give Ayling credit for that nice little inside out pass in the first half over the defender to Summerville.
The ref was very poor, they kicked lumps out of Gnonto and he chose simply to ignore it. Don't like when players go looking to get the foul (the Ayling flop).
But other players got kicked at and or had there runs blocked (blatant obstructions). Think he forgot to bring his cards.
Lots of the 50/50 went Millwall's way too.
He didn't really talk to those who committed fairly hefty fouls either, hence why Millwall's striker decided to barge into Meslier.
Again on the right back situation, it's obvious to me that Farke demands his current full back to be higher up the pitch. You're right that Farke aks/demands Archie & Ethan to provide cover. Don't get me wrong, despite the result and Bill having a decent/good performance there certainly remains room for improvement (perhaps asking a tad too much here).
You're remark about Rutter is spot on, think he himself doesn't always know or understands what he's gonna do. Still... the less he thinks about it the better?
He looked stronger, won some challenges and was able to hold off defenders.
To be honest, he impressed me on Saturday and I'm slowly changing my mind about him. Early days, so long may it continue.
I don't think there was any poor performances on Sunday. I feel sorry for BabyShacks not playing but according to Farke he was carrying a strain and is being held back for next weekend. The front four all look good, and I think Gelhardt still/will have a big part to play. There's a lot of depth In the squad and cover for every position.
My train was cancelled after being told for over an hr it wouldn't be, so I missed a win in London. 2 London trips on trot that has happened. I hate the trains I this country, they get worse year on year in the North.
I said we would hammer them. Leeds United are on the up.
We will get the train ticket money back but not the match ticket obviously. I have never seen us win at Millwall, lost every time I've been!. I should just stay away I reckon.
Prefer this so much to last season. Daniel Farke in! We're solid, more or less; players in good physical condition; we have a very strong bench, and - something entirely new for this club - we're clinical in front of goal. Very hopeful after today. MOT
I prefer to see Piroe up front, but equally whatever "position" allows him to be in the right place at the right time works for me (and Leeds of course!)
Bit shaky at the back still, but if we've weathered the storm there could be more for us in the second half
Very excited about today; to see how our new team is starting to gel, and in particular the front four and how their roles will be. Think Shackleton has deserved to play, even though Byram is fit. Hope we get to see Jaidon Anthony - think he might be some player for us. Come on Leeds!
What a strong bench we'll have with players returning....
We must have a great team as Jaidon Anthony, who's started all the games in the Prem, will only be able to find a place on the bench in the Championship.... can he play LB?
Hjelde played well twice for Norway u21s apparently.... such a shame he only gets to play as a stand in for us at LB and doesn't look good out of position.
Strujik is so inconsistent and I'd give Hjelde a run as our left sided CB....
Meslier, Piroe & Rutter named in EFL team of the week

Thank you Steve!!!

3 shot on goal and 3 goal ? or was it 4 shot on goal

first time in history when this team play that wictory is over 2 goals
i Told you we wuld win 3-0
big win away from home.missed the 2nd half bc of work ffs
That's why I'm not a manager
Slow start, not up to speed yet, Piroe behind rutter again ffs
Leeds win 3-0
Team Out:
No surprises at all for me...
Starting XI: Meslier (GK), Ayling (C), Ampadu, Piroe, Summerville, Rodon, Struijk, Gray, Rutter, Byram, Gnonto.
Subs: Darlow (GK), Cresswell, Kamara, Anthony, Shackleton, James, Poveda, Gelhardt, Gruev.
Byram back in as a proper LB makes sense, front 4 stay in place, but I watch with interest which way around Piroe and Rutter set up

Probable heavy rain. 20c. Thick unbreathable smog air. Mucky bogies when you get home. Straight home and in the shower and incinerate my clothes.
Never seen us win there but tomorrow that changes.
Them 1 Super Leeds 4
We are going to take the p15s, make it look easy.

Coops, James & Byram fit again, Spence is a doubt for Millwall
Steve-if you fancy a wager im putting $10 on at 18-1-----nice sock drawer filler lol-😁
Best of luck Steve---the Kiwi thinks we will win 3-1 at the Den and march up the table-😗
