2 good wins v Elche and Sociedad with perfomance improving.
Wednesday's is V Moanco at ER
It will be too cold for a big turnout but I would expect 20K+
Monaco are fondly remembered by LUFC fans for the hat-trick Yeboah banged in at Stade Louis II in the UEFA Cup.
Ex Liverpool player, Minamino, is in their ranks and they also have Mo Kamara, the prolific Wissam Ben Yedderand and the Russian Aleksandr Golovin amongst others.
They are managed by Philippe Clement so I would expect them to play an attacking brand of football.
Cannot see JM risking players tonight so would like him to go for:
Robles
Rasmus Llorente Cooper Pascal
Forshaw Rojo
Aaronsen Greenwood Harrison
Rodrigo
Drameh on for Rasmus after 60 mins
Adams on for Forshaw after 60 min
Gyabi for Roja after 60 mins
Ayling on for Llorente after 60 mins
Hjelde on for Cooper after 75 mins (goes to LB with Pascal moving to CB)
Gnonto on for Aaronsen after 75 mins
Jospeh on for Rodrigo after 75 mins
Perkins on for Harrison after 75 mins
Firpo, Joffy, Bamford, Cry, Jimmy, Koch, Iceman, KK, Gray not seen on the grass in training
Result not so important as long as we dont get drubbed but performance is vital.
Makes me wonder what our plans are with Koch & even more so with Cresswell. Club must rate him, but has not convinced me at all.
In his first season he had a decent spell, coinciding with us as a team being on good run when the teams who faced us had their minds on other things and or took the foot of the pedal.
Suppose the pace & tempo/all action of the Premiership doesn't suit his game. His injury proneness doesn't help either.
Anyway long contract, not sure about the wages, a while back in the YEP I read it was something like 55k pw!? Admit that sounded very high to me.
