Valuable point gained, bit like Palace away last season, grinding out a 0-0 but that point proved to be massive in the end.

We could really do with a win on Wednesday though.

Dunno what's happened to our fluent all out attacking style that was getting us wins before against the top teams.... I just hate being another team who put 11 behind the ball to sneak a point.

Everton did it v Citeh today and, yes, they got a point but with no entertainment for either set of fans.... the timewasting and cheating with fakey injuries etc is just fkn embarrassing.

Just put a win up to 4/5 points and nobody will want to draw and HAVE to go for the win!!

There’s a fine margin isn’t there between grafting for a point against a team you really have no chance of beating or going all Out but getting obliterated.

I get that fans want to be entertained, but we also don’t want to be on the back end of a 4-0 defeat. There only one set of fans getting any entertainment out of that.

Agree. I think getting slippered every game against the big sides is Naive.

We have gained a point here like Everton have today. It's pragmatism. I don't expect that against the sides in the bottom 3.

The fact we can play that way is another string to our bow as far as I'm concerned - more confident than ever we'll be OK now.

It was a well earned point today, but in reality we struggled, both in defence and going forward.

Unless we strengthen, we will continue to struggle in most of our remaining games, as we simply don’t have enough in our locker and I’m afraid it will be down to luck, whether we survive or not again this season!

We got a very hard fought point today. It wasn’t pretty nor was it easy to watch, but the whole team put a shift in and came away with a decent point.

we never really looked like scoring and it was just a case of trying to nullify Newcastle as best we could.

Newcastle will feel hard done by at only getting a point and on another day with some better finishing they would have got more.

Thankfully they didn’t and I’m absolutely delighted with a point out of a game like that.

Would love to be all Bielsa in every game, but only if it gets results. Truth is it doesn't, it gets you thumped. That's why he's not here any more.

We have a very young team learning with every game - you start with the basics, be tough to play against and tough to beat, then you can get all Harlem Globetrotters.

I know nobody listens to little old me, but I liked the compact nature of how we played against City in the first half - we need to play like that against the best teams.
