Well as no-one else has done one I thought I would.
Tonight's game is against a team 3rd in Ligue 1. Behind the other Real and Barca.
It will be too cold for a big turnout.
Sociedad have Alex Sorloth and David Silva in their ranks. They should be a far better test than Elche. They play with pace, precision, power, and exuberance.
The club's name means "Royal Society of Football" in Spanish
With a Copa del Rey game a few days after, they are now match fit. As shown v Elche we are not quite there yet as we looked so rusty.
Cannot see JM risking players tonight so would like him to go for:
Robles
Drameh Llorente Cooper Pascal
Forshaw Rojo
Gnoto Greenwood Harrison
Rodrigo
Ayling on for Drameh after 60 mins
Gyabi on for Forshaw after 60 min
Hjelde on for Llorent after 60 mins (goes LB with Pascal moving to CB)
Klitch on for Greenwood after 60 mins
Perkins on for Gnoto after 75 mins
Jospeh on for Rodrigo after 75 mins
Firpo, Joffy, Bamford, Cry, Jimmy, Koch, Iceman, KK, Gray not seen on the grass in training and IMO too early for Aaronsen, Adams and Rasmus as they have only just resumed training. We can wait a week for them to get back to speed.
Result not so important as long as we dont get drubbed but performance is vital.
You are on a run BB keep it up
Sounds like it was a much better performance and against a good side.
Another positive is that we were still missing 7 or 8 regular first teamers.
At the same time it's a worry we've still got that many players out with niggling injuries. Players like Bamford, Llorente can't seem to get fit, let alone match fit. Overloaded with 4 CB's (?) but only 2 fit ones, with one of them also injury prone and the other needed at LB.
What a strike by Strujik! 👍👏
We've all been saying we want a LB and striker but could we save some money and put it into a TOP TOP striker and keep Strukij as first choice LB?
He obviously defends well, is great in the air and is getting better and better going forward....
2-1 LUFC at final whistle
Very young side now. Just Ayling and Klitch experienced then Pascal at 23 with the rest U21s including 4 teenagers
Rodrigo 2-1!!
Come on LEEDS
