Radz woukd t write his own tweets, and he would t write then in English. He would have somebody to do that for him. Its very easy to fake a tweet or to fake an account. I’m very suspicious of the language used in that tweet, it doesn‘t read as if it’s written by an Italian. Personally, I don’t believe anything on Twitter unless it’s backed up by an official source or statement.

Actually that lad from Coventry would suit our current game style. Can play as a target man, behind the striker or as a left winger. 24 which is young enough and knows how to score.

Wouldn't mind loan deals as such, but it's a bit of worry if true that we've got no money left to do permanent deals.

I think that's a major worry BB. Even if it's all OK, that still means there's no cashflow till the window shuts. Without boring the pants off everyone with a lesson in finance, there's a world of difference between profit and loss and cashflow.... I don't think the long term profit and loss is the issue here.....

I've always championed Rodrigo as a better alternative, finally getting a go and rewarding us with 4 goals in 4 games.

LB - I want to see if Firpo has more to offer - he's young enough and may suit JM's system better but if he doesn't cut it we do need to replace him.

Marsch has confirmed we aren't looking for a LB. He rates Firpo highly and feels Struijk and Hjelde offer plenty of cover.

JM said as much during the last presser, no LB coming.

Felt Pascal did ok in the first two games, without looking totaly at ease in the position. After all he's not a full back by trade.

But today he completely looked the part.

However his performance today, nomatter how good it was, is no guarantee he'll always be that impressive.

No denying Rodrigo is on a roll, looks to have so much more self-belief & at this moment in time he more than deserve his spot!

With Gelhardt available, PB coming back and potentially both Perkins & Joseph as further options, it's looking good enough.

Still, wouldn't say no to getting another class player in.

I don't think we need another striker and I'm not overly worried about LB either. I think the only transfer rumour that has any depth is Gnonto whose arrival wouldn't disrupt the squad to the same extent as an established CF would. He can play multiple roles and would be competing initially with Perkins and Joseph, whilst providing a further option in the number 10 and 8 positions. Marsch, like Biesla, appears to like a flexible group of players and a squad which doesn't contain back up players for the sake of it.

He may be 18, but hes already got 4 international caps. He would be an excellent signing and at long last possibly the heir to Pablo or at least cover for Aaronson.

Interesting how we see the same players but judge them very differently.

I would not call Gehardt a No9 at all - he's an "off the shoulder" second striker to me - lacks the physical strength and height to be the No9 target man. I am quietly worried about how he fits into JM's system.

We actually have a better youth option in Mateo Joseph Fernandez as an out and out No9.

I think we haven't seen as much from Rodrigo ironically because he's not been given the chance. Bamford is undoubtedly the first choice No9 if fit - and Rodrigo has had to wait his turn.

Yes, Gelhardt certainly isn't the tallest and Rodrigo is a bit taller, but in terms of upper body strength, holding off defenders and winning headers against taller CB's (Norwich springs to mind) to me at least he brings more to the table. I didn't do Bamford any favours either in comparing him with the likes of Jones, big Joe, Viduka. But what I meant is that he's our closest player to a traditional, target man.

As you point out, against most defences, James isn't a solution.

I'm fully supportive of Jesse Marsch and the club's leaders. I see no reason yet to get on their case about anything.

Struijk is looking the part with Firpo and Hjelde already at the club.

Rodrigo is looking the part with Gelhardt, Joseph, Perkins not getting a look in.

Nobody can argue with the result & performance.

You can't just automatically say it's the club's fault and the player is an innocent victim.

It's very possible the club wanted him to sign a new deal and get him a loan for game time but the player said NO - that's why he was left out of the Aussie tour.....

Well they started extension talks while Bielsa was here then put on hold after the sacking.

I get that players only move if the club give it the OK. But yet again we're dealing with human beings......

So if we look at Rapha what was the benefit to refusing to sell?

- We end up with a player livid that his dream has been taken from him - the club have reneged on their promises when he signed.

- he sits until he goes for free.

- The club now have a very unhappy player and they don't have the £50M they planned for to rebuild a small ageing squad.

- no player or agent will fancy being trapped by such an employer and we can't sign the next Raphinha. It's a small world is football agency and reputations go a long way.

If this move does come to fruition then it would give us a host of players from 17 to 22 who all strikers. Gelthardt, Greenwood (though leeds seem to be converting him), Perkins, Joseph, Max Dean.

I'm on the "bullsh1t" side of the fence with this one, but Kai Wagner seems a genuine shout.

Here's my take on the landscape - for what it's worth. I think any new forward will result in Harrison leaving so it would need to be a player who can play across all the forward positions and that would rule Watkins and Che Adams out of the equation. Marsch's comments seem to back up the notion that it's a particular type of forward that's being earmarked and that has been reflected by Orta targeting de Ketelaere and Kalimuendo - both of whom can play in any forward position and both would have been an upgrade on Harrison. We know both were confirmed approaches unlike most of the BS rumours. If it's got legs, the Ismalia Sarr rumour would also fit such a profile. I know some will say we should keep Harrison and buy another Centre Forward, but there isn't space in the squad for both. The first choice front four look to be (once all are fit) - Aaranson, Rodrigo, Bamford and Sinisterra. The second string would then be James, Greenwood, Gelhardt and until he is sold: Harrison. In reserve we have Summerville, Klich who can play the number 10 role (as well as the number 8 position), and at some point Gray (who can also play both the no 8 and 10 roles) will be given a chance. If it was to be an incoming out and out Centre Forward, then they would be both competing and behind Bamford, Gelhardt and Rodrigo in the queue, and and that just doesn't make sense.

I can't read the LB position quite so well. It'll all be down to whether the club want to stick with Firpo or not. My gut instinct was that the club was still backing their investment. Could Wagner be any better? After all we just can't keep spending €15m every year on the chance that one of them might be an immediate hit. There has to be some appreciation that it takes time for some players to fully acclimatise as Rodrigo has finally proved this year. He's on fire, he's the leading premiership goalscoreres after two matches and is one of Marsch's trusted senior leadership players. Also, and this is no reflection on Wagner, but we do need a LB for the u21s. I suspect Orta could kill two birds with one stone on this front.

I hadnt looked at the Harrison role in as much detail tbh i just want the guy to stay as we all know what he brings to the table, yes he is limited (we all are) yes he has his off days (we all do) but one thing i cant throw at him is his desire and willingness to try on the pitch (not every footballer passes that test though).

I just think that it took us so long to prize him away from City we seem to very quick to get rid of him, i just cant square that circle.

I’m not worried about LB at all, it’s a good opportunity to play all three CBs and keep them match fit. That’s the bonus of having versatile players like Struijk and Hjelde. And I‘m not dying about spending lots of money when we already have a €25m LB who looks like he will be fit again in a months time.

Fair points either side of the argument - I agree with you the solutions to temporary injuries need to come from the existing squad, not just a new signing every time. It's good (as you say Smurf) to use the versatile players and give them a chance.

The issue with LB at the moment is whether the guy who should be in the position will EVER be good enough - on that score the jury is out ATM for me. If Firpo doesn't fit in and play better than last season then we do need to sign a new player.

I recall the same happening with Gvardiol, where he had a choice and made one that suited his development and it wasn't us - now he's beyond our league, the same will probably happen with Kalimuendo, but I'm pleased we're in the running for these top level young stars. We will get more Raphinhas if we stick at it - who knows how much Aarondsen will be worth in 2 years....

McAtee seems the obvious loan player. Man City won't sell him, but they might loan him, and LUFC seems to have a direct line to Guardiola.

Just wondering if they could sign for a club on a short term deal for a few months then go back to Barca in January. That then begs the question of where that leaves us on Raphinha. Dean and McKinstry both being under 20 and having preformed very well over the past 3 seasons for our 23's/21's is a strange one.

Boguez not due back to training until mid/late Sept. Cant see him going out on loan before.

It's a real commitment to the three players - all long term contracts. Summerville has been given Raphinha's no 10 shirt, and all three can rightly be considered first team players now.

Just seen Gary Rowett on SKY. He admitted Charlie will have to be patient as he's behind the regulars - it was an injury that got him a start - he's taken that chance.

If I said to you now we should swap a Spanish international CB for a 19 year old from Millwall on the back of one match you'd say I was madder than Daniel suggesting Bogusz is the second coming.

The truth is he has a whole season to settle in, show his class and get vital experience. When he comes back to us he may well be ready for the starting jersey in the PL.

Let hope he continues to get starts as it can noly improve him as a player.
